Ugh... So. Much. Rain. ☔
Slowly getting closer to home.
Ready to ditch the moist jacket, pants and shoes.
I have an umbrella, but there's just so much rain...
Arwen just does her thing. But she won't be amused later!
She gets to wear the bathrobe... And we don't have time for the buggy walk (I would not take it out in this weather anyway...).
But as shops are closed tomorrow in Germany, mum and I will be going this morning. So that means an earlier drive to Nijmegen. 😊
But maybe the weather is better on Thursday for a buggy walk then 😉.
Ah well... Slowly walking home... Both dripping some 😉 spring weather, just lovely 😂

Good morning sweet and lovely Friendos 💜

It's been a good morning so far. Some rain in the beginning, but since the gym, it's been dry.
We had a good SniffBook walkies 🐾 and now we're enjoying the buggy walk.
I finished my journal blog post for today. I worked on some other posts.
Tried to get the rent payment added to my bank app so I don't forget to pay in time (first time for the house needs to be done a few days in advance). But my app was limited, ugh, so now I have to wait a while and then try again...
So first buggy walk. Then some food. Getting some groceries after that. And then, try the bank app again... Ugh...

For what sort of toots could I use hashtags like #ActuallyAutistic or the previous two I just used?

I Toot quite a bit about me and my quirky way life. But I never really know if I "should" add any ND hashtags as the "silly" things I Toot about are quite normal to me. If that makes sense 🤔...

I'm proud enough, these days, of who I am. But I wonder if and when it would be good to add some of these tags... Maybe it could help connect with other peeps like me 😇.

Dad sent me some pics as well, so I may upload some of those as well. And I made two quick videos but I need to make them smaller to fit on this server. 😊 I'm working on it!

Hope it gives a good impression of the house. I didn't get any pictures from the outside and we didn't stay too long. It was so busy (I felt very anxious with so many people, even though they'll be my new neighbors, time enough to meet them later on) and it was very warm (28°C) and I was also tired... So my parents and I walked around, took pics and the vids I'll share soon, and we headed home again before traffic would be bad...
Time enough in a few months to take make pictures when it's done and when I'll be working on it... Alone and with friends! 😁

Busy morning! Again 😉 but... I blame Arwen this time 😂.
We had the early SniffBook walkies. But she already wanted a buggy walk...
Our friend and their dog will join us for a walk around 8. But we probably won't be able to do the water walk...
Sooooo in order to keep my gall happy, I'm gonna squeeze in buggy walkies as well. If all goes well, we'll have an hour rest then before the next walk 😂.
Which means we'll head to the shed soon and start our way...
If the weather gets worse throughout the day, she should be good enough with short walks I hope...

Sooooo, let's hit the loo and then get Arwen and myself ready for the buggy walk. I guess I'll get my steps in again today... 😇

I'd like some advice please!!
Regarding: Google Chromecast TV (HD).

Mum has my old small TV in her hobby room. It has Netflix but that's it. I'd like her to be able to use more steaming services on it, without her needing to use her phone (she's not that tech savvy).

So I found the Chromecast with TV support, and it said you don't need a phone for it. The TV is HD so we don't need the expensive version...

But is it really easy to use???

Do I just extter all the info in the stream service apps that she has and then the box will make sure she can watch them all??? Can it really be that easy???

Please do let me know... 😊

Her bday is coming up and I'd love to get this for her if it really works that simple...

Does anyone have any experience with (affordable) homeopathic supplements for older dogs?
Arwen starts to struggle a bit more with walkies. And we do have the buggy, but she also still loves to walk on her own, and we can't always take the buggy...
I've been using the mighty Duck to seek out if there is anything that could help her.
I did find one thing, which got a few amount of good reviews from users.
But seeing it's not very cheap, I was wondering if any of my Friendos have any experience to share.
I'm willing to try the one I found once I have some money again to order it. It it could help her to enjoy the walkies more again... She's definitely worth it 💜

Ugh... Drizzle again...
It's not enough to call it rain. But it's annoying enough to need an umbrella to keep my headphones and glasses dry.
Rain is annoying, but drizzle (IMHO) is worse. Drizzle seems to get everywhere and I always feel silly with my umbrella...
But I don't want it to ruin my headphones.
So onwards with Arwen's walkies we go. Hopefully the drizzle will did off soon. (for dry weather, not for more rain 😂)

I love your work on Pixelfed. 😊
I was wondering how the location tags are made as sometimes I want to add a place and it doesn't know it. Is there a way to add locations to images that the app/site don't know yet? Or a way to "teach" it new places?
I now try to find the nearest place (granted some places I've been were rather small), but it would be nice to tag the actual place to the image.
Thanks again for the hard work! Looking forward to the new app release. 👍🏻

Heya! Ever since the last update (I participate in the beta program), my app often crashes when I want to open toots to read them before replying....
It just closes the Toot and switches back to the main time line.
My phone warned me that it is a crash happening again and again.
Running version 3.28.2 (515) according to the last release notes (screenshot attached).
Hopefully this bug can be fixed in a next update! 😁

#today I've been very busy! Mostly helping my mum. She never really asks for a lot of help, as she's as stubborn as me and prefers to do things on her own when she can...
So when she asked, I helped. When she needed something more, I helped. And I enjoyed it, even though it messed a bit with my routine.
Knowing she asked me means loads so I did all I could to help as well as I could. 😊

Soooooo I generally dislike calls with anyone that I don't know well enough.
I prefer email. Texts. Or... Even a voicemail if someone does call, so I know what it's about.

I've asked people to use my voicemail. I've told people I prefer email. And still, some people keep calling me... And if I'm brave enough to call back (when there is a number), it's often those I ASKED to use email or leave a voice mail if urgent.

Why do people think it's ok to just call for everything? I have to list a phone number. It doesn't mean I can actually make decent phone calls.

I hate them with people I don't know well enough. 😔 Ugh and the I get missed calls from blocked numbers. Also not leaving a voicemail. 😔 If I don't answet with a number, I will definitely ignore when there is none...

Why can't people just frigging email... 😢

Sensory overload.
Sound. Light. Even smells...
When I go out, I try to use my NC headphones as much as I can.
I have dark sunglasses to accompany me. And often wear a baseball cap as well.
Overload can also happen from socializing. It takes a lot out of me. Even with people that I care loads for.
Sometimes I just need "me time". Just me, a favorite activity and/or series on TV. No talking. No thinking. Just relaxing...

I think it's one of the more difficult things of my autism. I get overloaded too easily, and when I get to a meltdown, it's bad and takes even longer before I can recover.

Anyone recognize this? Any tips I haven't tried yet perhaps? 😊

I do hope that Arwen and I will have several more years together...
She turns 11 this year... 💜
My previous Lab gall, Chance, made it to 12. So a small fear in me says this could be the last year together... It scares me a bit. 😔
I know I should not think of this. But life is fragile. And my brain is fighting the dark monster, which allows thoughts like these.
I hope Arwen will grow old and stay healthy for several more years to come...
I hope she gets to enjoy our new place in several months time.
No more stairs and a small garden. 😊

Yay! I've been very productive this morning and as a reward, I will try some gaming in a bit... 😊

Hit the gym, walked my gall, showered, cleaned the bedding, cleared the laundry, started a new load, hung it out to dry...

No packing today, did enough of that yesterday to have some rest now.

I'll have to walk Arwen again this afternoon, after my meal and before hers. Maybe she'll need a tinkle while I'm gaming... But I'm looking forward to some ESO in a bit when my dear friend is ready. 😊
