@that_shaman But then it was not and Astral Acclaim for the remaining weekly tasks got increased from 40 to 50. Probably quite a few people got hit by this when they completed the weeklies on the first day.

Not being able to revive in a Convergence rift sounds awesome. Open world gaming has lacked personal accountability for a while, hoping this is the content that pushes people to improve!

So basically in order to get the #guildwars2 paper bag helmets you take some candy corn, black dye and a bag of seeds to the Mysterious Craftsraven and in turn they take the food and draw a smiley face using the dye on the now empty bag for you 🤔
I'm officially the definition of weird old #GuildWars2 veteran who's been covering the game for over a decade now... Usually people get excited about shiny legendary weapons, huge explosions and grandiose world bosses.
@Lucinellia tbh idk if I want to, life is so stressful rn that I'm not sure I could manage spending that long on prog. I'm content filling and then hoping I can fill enough to one day stumble into voidwalker lol. I think I'm good enough for it, I just need a bit more experience and then the opportunity lol
@pixel yeah it is really a commitment and the encounter itself is buggy and not brilliantly designed imo but it's about the only thing offering a proper sense of progression in Guild Wars 2 so I think it's worth making some time to check out and see if you want to commit!
It will definitely happen for you at some point though, either which way! I think community experience and knowledge is growing enough to support that.
@massivelyop Speaking as a grizzled veteran of many a VNBoards drama war, I approve of these youngsters and their cute little homage to the digital battlefields of my yesteryear.
Kind of anxious about the upcoming #guildwars2 patch on the 26th, since they've not released any information about it and I'd really not like to see my characters have their builds ruined again, when I've been playing those same setups for 6+ years (or since 2014, in the case of one they outright removed. Again).
I just want to enjoy the game, not be worried that my characters will get progressively worse for seemingly no reason other than "but raiding."
@Lucinellia@itspomf yeah it seemed like a way to kill two birds with one stone -- enable healing-centric thief builds, and gut unhealthy stealth spam builds in pvp modes. Which is good efficient balance, even if it had an unfortunate side effect on builds that relied on it previously that were doing honest things. But that's just how balance goes
@pixel@itspomf I think enabling healing-centric Thief builds was a happy accident and mainly as a result of Specter. There wasn't any serious way to heal with Thief back in 2019 when the SA changes were made but there was a lot of consternation around WvW especially.
I am hopeful for a happy accident with the new weapons!
OMG. There's a Legendary Amulet in #GuildWars2 that is basically a reward for doing ALL THE STUFF I LIKE ABOUT GW2... which is not the group-mandated content.
It's not a gold sink, but rather an "experience the game" sink. I may try to shoot for this.
@scopique Thank you! I got my last two clovers while doing WvW completion for the Warclaw unlock. The end of the Reward Track for Warclaws grants 7 clovers.
So I now have a new mount for WvW AND a Legendary. :D
Spent a bit of time prepping two characters for lab farm in a couple weeks. Modified the pistol/pistol deadeye build to go fast and cooked up a very zoomy scepter/dagger weaver.
Having two means I'll always have a farming character ready to go! #GuildWars2
