I decided to go into this beta without a big alliance group to see how it will be as a pug, and I've only played a total of about 5 hours these last few weeks as it's just awful.
I've seen a whole bunch of commanders speaking all different languages, running god knows what builds, all with their own discord to join... our enemies conversely are organised omega alliances with 60+ on meta classes in an organised discord...
not fun as pug and probably not fun for the enemy.
Thinking forward to go live, the life of a new player and general pugs is going to suck super hard, and without new players and pugs we're doomed
Thank you for sharing your perspective. I feel we had the opposite experience but I'm in a really cool fight guild. I never run without them.
Are you EU or NA?
EU.
When it goes live I'll be fine as I have about 3 large alliances I could join plus in an active open field fight guild.
But that is why I wanted to try this beta as a pug, to get a different perspective, and it's bad
I figured as much. I'm NA and we don't really have an issue with language barriers. Some spanish/portuguese speakers but they stick to english in the chat in my experience.
Honestly, the one with best moderators that put effort into building and maintaining a community rather than letting it sit there. Building a space like this isn't really luck as much as hard work. Take a look at warframe@dormi.zone for example, they are promoting the community on the subreddit and being (pro)active on their instance, and it's working. If we make it a nice place to be people will come, but it rarely happens on its own (especially with reddit looming over as established competition).
Ineffable insignia and inscriptions are used to craft leveling equipment with selectable stats.
They are pretty pointless since they are so expensive to craft, leveling is so fast, and content is so easy at low levels that whatever you craft with them is a soon outdated waste of resources.
It's one of these weird things players wonder why were they added at all since it's pretty much pointless.
Surprised no one has mentioned revenant yet. GS is fantastic, and SB is both a ranged condition weapon and- sadly - better than hammer even for power. Herald is a big winner here, ren/vin less so but still solid. I'd say it's between this and ele for the biggest benefit.
I'll post this in my guild's discord a little later; I'm on the work laptop so I won't be able to open the link, but this looks great to share load outs with inquiring minds and friends.
Hey,
just wanted to let you know that GW2Geary now has 300 registered users.
I really appreciate people sharing the website with friends. This is the only way to make the GW2Geary more popular.
Thank you all!
Nope, not weird at all. Our guild's discord has been abuzz with excitement and speculation about what we can do with our Griffons by yeeting ourselves through updrafts and leylines in the HoT maps. But we really hope the new maps will contain a lot of griffon fun as well.
