This should be fun too.
I wish there was a smaller form factor of this adapter available.
Maybe one of these days I'll create my own using smd logic chips.

A short history of the over four decades old Intel 8051 microcontroller series and some contemporary developments. Very interesting as it's a world I didn't know much about beyond the 8051 name.

Alexandru Groza built a new ISA card. A software controllable volume for the PC speaker. It is fantastically overengineered and almost completely useless. And that's why I love it.

Today was a surprising day. My oldest teen son was cleaning an area at my work reserved for a job that was reserved for my hobbies. He got quite interested in my restored Mac SE, Atari 800, and Commodore Pet. It seems he really dug the aesthetics esp on the Pet. The one-button mouse on the SE was simply a wonder to him. Let's go GenZ retro-futurism!

I don't know if week 32 of 1984 was a particularly bad week at NEC, or of this RAM expansion board has led a hard life, but 13 or of 36 of these 4164 chips test bad.

I'm using the 8bit-museum.de Retro Chip Tester Pro, and a few of them tested ok on the "default" tests, but one bank still didn't work, and they fell to the "Marching U" test, do you might consider that one for suspect chips.

Rooms is the virtual desktop manager of Interlisp. This screenshot of Interlisp Online on my Chromebox shows the Overview mode of Room, an exposé-like grid of miniatures of the active virtual desktops (rooms). Each miniature has outlines of the open windows.

"A Programmer's Notebook: Utilities for CP/M-80" by David Cortesi (Reston, 1982) is excellent. The book presents a number of utilities in Intel 8080 Assembly, discussing the development of each program from the initial design and pseudocode to the full code.
