Amynearlyknowledgeable, to folklore Ann Morgan's story highlights the importance of honouring historical legacies in folkloric narratives. I believe it's time for the woman behind the witch to be remembered. Let's celebrate her for all of her intricacies.

Locals have long speculated as to whether the so-called ‘Beast of Cumbria’ is just one or several big cats that slink in the shadows of the countryside. Investigators have now obtained a vital piece of evidence to support the presence of at least one recently active in the county....

Two surveys of millions of stars in our galaxy have revealed mysterious spikes in infrared heat coming from dozens of them. Astronomers say this could be evidence for alien civilisations harnessing energy from their stars by using a vast construction known as a Dyson sphere – although they can’t fully rule out more mundane...

The best preserved dolmen in west Cornwall. Dates from the early. Neolithic period.
Probably used as a repository for the bones of the dead and as a place where the living could honour and/or seek guidance from the dead. Considering it’s mushroom-like appearance, maybe there was some psychedelic trance work happening? 😄
The term quoit comes the folklore that these ancient monuments were made by giants playing quoits.
Hi. I definitely believe in ghosts, but a part of me also thinks some things can be caused by a gas leak/chemical leak, and exposed electrical wires. But my question is, do you believe in the paranormal/ghosts/demons?
Amynearlyknowledgeable, to folklore Whilst you walk, thank the landscape for its beauty. Speak to the spirits that inhabit the space. Respect those who have come before you and listen deeply, for they might have a lesson or two ✨️
thesweetcheat, to folklore A terrific stone circle in Dartmoor's inner space for today's #StandingStoneSunday - White Moor (sometimes called Little Hound Tor) stone circle, a spacious ring with a 6 foot outlier.
In #folklore the stones are a huntsman and his hounds, turned to stone for hunting on the Sabbath (makes a change from the usual 'dancing on the Sabbath' tales).
Visited on a scorching hot and thankfully dry underfoot St George's Day, April 2011.

Amynearlyknowledgeable, to folklore Today is #Nationalparanormalday, and I want to remember the story of Polly Mayo's. Failed by those who should have loved her, she is more than a ghost. Polly deserved to play and laugh and grow up to be a young woman.
