That has not been the experience watching him all through the deeply frightening and antisemitic Corbyn years, who he broke with on most things related to British Jewry and Israel. He's considered an ally to the community.
“Deeply frightening” can you name even one thing Corbyn said or did that was antisemitic other than be openly antizionist? Given that it’s Israel’s Zionist regime that’s currently committing genocide, I would think Corbyn would have been vindicated by now.
He was anti-zionist sure, but he also openly associated with and supported groups that go beyond anti-zionism into full blown anti-semitism and, despite plenty of prompting, continuously maintained that there was no issue with this.
There’s inferences made there, sure, but it’s very easy to say “I generally support X but they take Y too far” - even the current government is doing it when supporting Israel, but also making (hollow) statements that they should be more careful not to attack civilians as it’s clearly not right, but they still want to support their allies. Corbyn could’ve made similar statements, but he didn’t, either meaning that he didn’t see anything wrong with the anti-semitism or he thought that them also being anti-zionist excused it, neither of which are a good look.
This type of treatment has been “almost here” for several years, now.
What’s going to suck is that I know in the US it is going to be really expensive and insurance companies won’t let anyone use it unless they’ve tried all the shitty and often short lived treatments first. The ones with all of the side effects and suffering.
It really is the most likely method of killing cancer. The immune system is fantastic at finding and removing threats, so teaching it what to kill instead of trying to figure out how to kill it ourselves makes a lot of sense.
They look cute, sometimes act cute, but they can and will fuck you up six ways to Sunday, and then when they’re done they’ll spit on you as an insult to your grandmother.
Just depends on which side of the bed they fell out of this morning. Or if they’ve contracted chronic wasting disease.
I don’t understand how someone can be so fucking stupid to think they just come off like that. Have they never seen deer knocking antlers? They’re pretty well attached until they decide not to be.
Were Saka and ESR (as some examples) already playing regular first team football by 20?
I think they got lucky the squad was struggling and had injuries. But the same could be said of Mainoo, Quansah, and many others.
As I’ve seen/heard others mention, dropping out of some of the cup games so early and the pressures performing in CL and the chance for a PL trophy has pretty much killed off any chance to give some of the younger talent a chance.
Kinda like that old quote of like, luck meets preparation, I think. Alternate world where Patino’s starting every game for the past two seasons and no Nwaneri chasing his heels, who knows what woulda happened.
Very true. With us pushing to remain competitive, I could see it becoming even harder for youngsters to push their way into the team. There will be cup games and such, but I’d say they will be looking to bring in players externally to make a more immediate impact.
I could be wrong and I hope I am. It sucks to lose a prospect and have them shine for another team. But it could be he doesnt fit the system anyway. If he does leave though, I wish him all the best
Will be disappointing to see him go as he’s very talented. But I can’t really blame him. Not only have his loan spells not really worked out (through no fault of his own), but there are a fair few ahead of him in our attacking midfield roster - Odegaard, Rice, Smith Rowe, Vieira, plus Havertz if we bring in a more conventional forward in the summer.
The global average temperature for the last 12 months is also the highest on record, at 1.58C above the pre-industrial average
It took 5 years of negotiations, from 2011 till 2016, to finalize and ratify the Paris agreement with its 1.5°C target.
Just 7.5 years later we’re already past it.
Very wet here too in Queensland Australia - seems like our summer was marked with rain and regularly toppling daily minimum (and some maximum) temp records.
It’s been quite a mild winter in the UK. Normally we have a lot of frosty and freezing temperatures but we only had about 3 days where I am. Other than that it’s been above 5°C and raining. The ground is saturated to fuck. Makes walking the dog a very messy job!
That said we had a pretty poor summer last year. It never really got that warm. I’m hoping the shit winter means in return we are given a nice summer. I have my doubts though.
