Morning Folks! Last night I hit level 45 in #WorldOfWarcraft#PandariaRemix and started on my third zone. I spent some time this morning talking about the scope of Pandaria and how it is contrasted against the feel of the last few expansions.
I also spent some time talking about the Narcissus addon which is making the whole constant gem swapping a bit easier.
Morning Folks! Last night I got my first of the unique items from #WorldOfWarcraft#PandariaRemix and also spent a bit of time talking about my general thoughts from the event so far.
Honestly, it feels like a refreshing take on the game with the best mechanical state of classes combined with a more classical feeling expansion.
GW2 still has fuel in the tank and a strong community.
I genuinely think that they could get weird with GW3 without hurting the franchise. Introduce mechanics not typically found in MMORPGs. Give it more of an ARPG combat system instead of tab-targeting. GW2 already has elements of this. GW2 has a lot of verticality; GW3 can build on this with cover and vaulting/climbing mechanics while in combat. Give GW3 mounted combat in the open world as an alternative to standard combat.
Morning Folks! A while back I saw someone on the Fediverse talking about an alternative to GOG Galaxy that gave you access to all of your games regardless of launcher through a single interface. Yesterday I finally got around to installing #Playnite and this morning I talked about my experience so far.
I have to say it is pretty slick and takes up a negligible amount of system resources.
@massivelyop Just saw that Britaria (lol)(formerly Legends of Aria) is on super top secret pre alpha testing this weekend too. Let’s see how their servers handle all 10 players trying to get in at once.
I went down a bit of a rabbit hole yesterday thanks to a @RickiTarr question thread about video game character preferences, and this morning I decided to expand that into a full blog post.
Basically, I play the same character over and over and don't fully understand why.
Hey Folks! I said yesterday that I was not mainlining #Enshrouded... then spent the entire evening mainlining Enshrouded. I made a bunch of progress unlocking new tradesfolk and then started some minor renovations on my primary base.
Morning Folks! I've been spending some time playing that other new survival game that does not involve catching them all... #Enshrouded. This morning I share some of my very early thoughts about the game after having played around six hours.
Morning Folks! During Crucible there was this wildly overpowered build that involved exploding totems, and I have always kicked myself for never giving it a try. Right now, Penance Brand of Dissipation feels like one of those situations in the way it deletes bosses so I'm going for it and creating a character.
@bad_sonic I measure our success as a publication based on how smug our readers are when they DON'T fall for these kinds of things. I want them to make the right choice and be SO SMUG.
