@Mrfunkedude Sounds like someone trying to stream directly, rather than setting up an S3 bucket.

@Mrfunkedude That is one thing that the Owncast and Peertube documentation could be a bit more vocal about. Streaming using your home connection really limits your viewership if you don't set it up to utilize something like Amazon S3 or Backblaze.

I figured that out the hard way.

@deadtom yeah, but these guys are hosting company who claim that they can run Owncasts, Mastodon, Peertube, etc without any problems

@deadtom I'll admit, I almost used this company about a year ago but I found their customer service lacking and their documentation a bit confusing. They have no real desire to educate their users on best practices for using their service.

Then I hit them up again just last month to see if maybe the last time was a fluke, and nope. Same attitude.

Then seeing them today try to run an Owncast livestream but failing miserably was just a reminder that I was right not to choose them.
