Alright, I've been thinking. As we know, the default model of conversation on the Fediverse is a tree. Threads are directed graphs, each node is allowed multiple children and only one parent. Kinda like a filesystem. There are also (hash-)tags, but they are a bit meta and work across all conversations.
What if we upgrade it a little bit? What if we allow multiple parents to each node? What if you can reply to multiple posts? I miss this feature because sometimes, when I post something, I get similar replies from different people, and I'm forced to either answer both of them (which sucks, because duplication of effort) or reply to only one and leave all others unanswered, which spawns an offshoot conversation that is basically already over. This way, conversation may feel more like putting out little fires at times. So, instead I can just add all of those in one reply, and add more as they appear.
And it's not that hard to do. Just make in-reply-to a list, not a string.
This was a fun one, so let's do it again. What is something you've learned that seems unlikely, even though you know it's true? Here's one I think about a lot:

@benedikt_lauenburg@denki@jackpearse@millZ@teslastoppen@AufstandLastGen die Antriebsdebatte ist durch und genau deswegen ist auch Tesla als ein Akteur zu sehen, der übergroße Autos verkaufen will und nichts für die Mobilitätswende, Ressourcenschonung, Abschaffung fossiler Lieferketten, Achtung Menschenrechte… tut.
Als ich nach Kiel zog, war die Goethestraße bereits Baustelle. Die Fuß- und Radwege auf der viel beradelten Route waren noch da und unangenehm. Jetzt sind die Bauarbeiten abgeschlossen, die Goethestraße macht Spaß zu radeln. So sehr, dass ich Umwege akzeptiere, um sie auf meine Route zu bekommen.

@jon@JiMakinen i don't think so? i'd actually suggest both the portals should be out of established urban areas, the travel time reduction will be such that we are not really thinking about 10 minutes here and there and you will want possibly large freight terminals to assemble trains coming into the tunnels, offer car shuttles, etc.
@pony@JiMakinen I heard the argument today that the station is at Ülemiste not Balti Jaam because that’d allow a future tunnel but Balti Jaam wouldn’t. But I struggle to see how this can be true.

@nblr@zwangseinweisung Grundsätzlich nicht verkehrt für den Preis. Die scheinen mir aber nicht für den permanenten Transport geeignet; eher für die Lagerung. Allein schon wegen der Anzahl der Schließen. Pelis lassen sich übrigens auch wunderbar stapeln. Die greifen ebenfalls ineinander.

Schon. Nutze ich hier auch, sind aber für Lagerhaltung einfach preislich nicht tragbar. Die Auer-Boxen sind prima für Dinge aus dem eigenen Euroboxen-Lager, die man gelegentlich mal mitnimmt.
