🤣 The special Brussels-Strasbourg European Parliament train was routed incorrectly this morning and ended up in Marne-la-Vallée (Disneyland) rather than on the line to Strasbourg.
The cynic might say some MEPs did not notice the difference!
@jon I’m not sure if I should feel sorry for them or not, Marne-la-Vallée is one of the most objectively miserable flabbergasting places I’ve even been in Europe. I was just there two weeks ago because the blithering imbeciles at SNCF think it’s funny to consider it a “Paris” departure point when heading south via train. Also the poor unfortunate souls working at the station Pret A Manger, my eternal sympathies.
@jon Now I'm picturing all those besuited serious people realising they're at Disneyland and basically turning into a bunch of kids, all excited. There then follows a montage of them on the rides, having pictures taken with Mickey Mouse, eating snacks, etc and ends with them back on the train, all disheveled, ties gone, happily sleeping.

Vote Maartje for MEP, she stands for more trains and is only into it for the trains!

@_Hemmschuh@lewd@jon 5 minutes after i shittoot about it half the European Parliament joins my IC Luxembourgh train. Is this where I start asking for party support?
I wouldn't be atonished if at some stage, the luggage-vans in Trailers 1-8 of TGV Duplex were fitted with seats.
And in view of the current Thalys refurbishment, it would no wonder to me should part of the Duplex fleet have Trailer 4 partly converted into seating areas.
