@misha I just prefer forums for conversation more than the current trend of instant messaging. Things just seemed to flow better that way and there was no pressure :btr_kikuri_thumbsup:
@chikorita157@fujiwara I took a peep at it when I first joined, I think, but I didn't have much of a reason to engage with it.
The forums I still visit today are either indirectly via Google for programming stuff or lurking directly for more niche games. Everything else has been taken up by Lemmy/Mastodon/Reddit. :bunhdthink:
Some is the chicken egg syndrome. I used it briefly but with no traffic, it wasn't worth the effort to keep up with it. So many other places on my list.
@NaraMoore@fujiwara (don’t tell anyone, but I still go on there to take the Seiyuu images to share on Mastodon. :sylveonsmug: I refuse to go on the :deadbird: site and I wish everyone would just leave that cesspool already. (I have the :deadbird: site IP blocked on my Firewall)
And Bluesky is pretty much dead, looking at its stats and it's steadily declining, doubt it will survive in the long term, and it looks like Misskey is about 1k a day?
Can we just go back to using forums and blogging. It's my only hope.
