Why should we assume the board has learned it's lesson at all? No one says that about private equity company leadership as their latest acquisition spirals the drain. We simply assume Boeing's motivations.
@harasurya@carnage4life When Douglas and McDonnell Douglas were still around, it was "If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going." Boeing bought McD and the McD managerial culture took over Boeing, resulting in the slogan you posted.
Given all this happening with Boeing, i can't help wonder about Airbus.
What's the corporate and engineering culture like over there? And seeing the Boeing story, will they beef up engineering and safety, or say, "Well that's less competition now, we can slack a little too" ?
IOW, will it the passenger get better safety, or more enshittification?
