@TomF@mcc there are some territories where the inhabitants are US citizens from birth, despite not being able to vote for federal elections while living in that area (PR, DC-ish); some territories, when you are born there, you are not a US citizen and cannot vote even if you move elsewhere in the US (guam)
@mcc There are various examples where even without disputed territory, people in a state are not citizens of said state, even if they were born there. Though generally they at least have some option for acquiring citizenship, which as I understand it Palestinians from the territories do not.
@mcc They're still technically "occupied territories" (having never been annexed), making the Palestinians a kind of de facto stateless, which is a nightmare internationally.
