I seriously need my family to STOP making plans literally one hour in advance. It's so annoying. No, I am not dropping everything to go to a shoddy restaurant when I already have food in the oven. Christ.
@fujiwara last minute plans are the worst. My partner and I have full schedules and my mom is constantly trying to just drop in. Just like, make a plan in advance, give us notice so we can plan around it! It’s not hard!
@coffeentacos For some people it is way too hard. And when you ask them to do that, they get all offended by even the suggestion that you don't want to stop everything for them.
@fujiwara for sure. I hope you’re able to find a way to communicate your boundaries with your family. I know that can be super hard, especially with some family dynamics. I’m in your corner and know how this can be :HoloHeartHug:
@coffeentacos My sister has guilt-tripped me that saying no to these plans always makes me feel terrible, so I just hope one day I am able to break that.
