Of course it helped a lot to learn the other western European languages except the Galic ones. And I know: The closer you are with your mother tongue to the language you want to lear, the harder it is. So, as I'm fluent in Argentinian Spanisch, I hardly can talk in Italian even if I understand it.

The teacher tried to get me for a Latin Intense course as main subject, but I refused. I didn't want to talk and learn about Horaz, Vergil, Ovid and other kind of this literature stuff. But I liked to read Caesar, Cato, Tacitus and Cicero.
