Republicans in Florida won't allow state agencies to use climate change as a policy priority.

Meanwhile, over the past 80 years, sea levels have risen approximately one foot, with eight inches of that increase occurring in the last 30 years, according to Brian McNoldy.

The next foot increase, however, is expected within 30 years. The next one 20 years later and the following one in just 10, according to projections by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

With Maggie Haberman's clear GOP ties coming out this week in Trump's trial it's easy to diss the NYTimes and they deserve it, but they also broke the Alito Stop the Steal story too don't forget.

We need journalism organizations with large staffs. I don't know what the answer is, but driving them out of business could prove to be worse than dealing with the bias that comes from them having Republican owners, idk?

It's got to be a coordinated effort that keeps Joe Biden from being hailed as the climate hawk that he is on social and mainstream media.

For decades, environmentalists tried and failed to convince lawmakers to pass even the most marginal climate policies. It wasn’t until Biden took office that the logjam broke and the climate policies flowed.

Conservative movement scion Brent Bozell IV has been sentenced to 42 months of jail and something like $4,000 in restitution. Department of Justice asked for 11 years.

I'm not in a position to second guess all of these judges, but I worry that these "light" prison sentences for attempting an insurrection are setting us up for worse in our future.

His Arizona mugshot he looks more worried.

Here's his Fulton County mugshot, I can't tell what kind of expression this is, but tough is not what comes to my mind at all.

Without celebrating the climate progress that we've made we send a signal to young people that we've not been trying to address the problem and that's a problem.

Already, the rollout of clean generation, led by solar and wind, has helped to slow the growth in fossil fuels by almost two-thirds in the last 10 years. As a result, half the world’s economies are already at least five years past a peak in electricity generation from fossil fuels.

Chief Justice John Roberts wife is one of the highest paid legal headhunters in the world and I think that should draw a lot more scrutiny.

Jane Roberts was paid more than $10 million by a host of elite law firms, a whistleblower alleges.

At least one of those firms argued a case before Chief Justice Roberts after paying his wife hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Senate Intelligence Committee had a hearing on election interference yesterday. Among the pieces of news is that the US intelligence community is sharing intelligence with European partners in advance of the EU Parliamentary vote next month to alert them to foreign interference efforts, something that was pretty clear to me but which journalists and European-based privacy activists had denied.

Of course though Marco Rubio used it as a chance to apply to be VPOTUS.

Will Biden's free solar power to farmers help to start shifting the Republican stronghold on rural voters?

Jerry Howle was skeptical about installing a $300,000 solar-panel system on his farm. Then he found out he could get it free of charge. His panels are being paid for entirely by Biden’s climate law and will virtually eliminate the farm’s $10,000 annual utility bill.

“It’s definitely gotten some old farmers raising their eyebrows and thinking about things a bit differently,” Howle said.

A billion-dollar solar farm approximately the size of 4,000 football fields is seeking approval for construction in the southeast of Wyoming.

Canadian energy multinational Enbridge is planning to construct 771-megawatt solar facility south of the state capital Cheyenne. The proposed 5,200 acre site would be the Cowboy State's largest solar facility, generating enough electricity to power roughly 73,000 homes. The project includes 266 MW of battery storage too!

@TonyStark posted a story on how the fossil fuel industry learned from the Kremlin toolkit how effective it is to turn factions on the left side of the aisle against each other.

The Kremlin long ago learned that the Democratic Party is their biggest threat and have for years worked their dark magic making us fight ourselves and basically turning the word Democrat into a cuss word for both sides of the aisle.

Attacking Democrats is Americans favorite pastime.

Biden's covid policy like tariffs and Israel are so easy for the political technologists to use to split the anti-GOP coalition because they are politically fraught issues that someone with a narrow majority in Congress that includes people like Manchin and Sinema along with a hostile SCOTUS has to make some major compromises in order to make any progress.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's appointment of a new defense minister, Andrey Belousov, is seen as an attempt to streamline Russia's economy and mobilize it for the war effort.

Russia's military has faced numerous supply and logistics problems that thwarted its all-out war against Ukraine from the get-go. Two years later, the problems of poor logistics and lack of strategic planning persist.

I wonder why you didn't run to replace our commander-in-chief since you're so certain that you know better than he does.

But, you are also attacking the U.S. based on faulty information which is one of the Kremlin's favorite techniques I shouldn't need to remind people of anymore but obviously do.

SOS Blinken:
'We've not enabled or encouraged strikes outside of Ukraine, but ultimately, Ukraine has to make decisions for itself about how it's going to conduct this war.'

Putin wants for people to attack Joe Biden and he's succeeded marvelously especially with Republicans, but also with plenty of people from the left side of the aisle too.

I don't have access to the classified intelligence and national security experts he does so I'm trusting him personally since I know we won't have a good picture until historians can evaluate this war after the fog of war has cleared and some hidden material surfaces.

Greece now has so much solar that they're starting to offer cheaper electricity between 11:00 and 16:00

Due to the high efficiency and large number of photovoltaic systems in Greece, it is becoming more and more common for these alternative energy sources to have to be temporarily taken off the network during the day in order to keep the electricity supply stable and to avoid power failures.

Greece has a further 16 gigawatts of renewable capacity currently under construction.

Today seven percent of homes in America have solar, and this number will grow to over 15 percent of US homes by 2030. Solar is quickly becoming the dominant source of electricity on the grid, allowing communities to breathe cleaner air and lead healthier lives.

Look, I totally get it. Israel, tariffs, student loans, or his age might make you angry at Joe Biden.

All I'm suggesting is that unless you think he's doing whatever makes you angry is because he's doing only because he's evil than it's worth the effort to assume that for some reason(s) you may not understand forced him to make an unpopular decision because attacking him only helps the political party that seems at this point to actually be supporting evil imo anyways.

I came across someone saying they were proud of all the protesting they did when they were younger and that’s fine.

Anyway, one of the things they listed was being proud of stopping America from going into nuclear power and let me just share that this attitude and movement set us back pretty far on clean power and it’s good to look into why. 1/2

Nuclear has its supporters and the industry has received assistance in all of Biden's climate legislation which is fine. I'm a throw everything at the problem until we fix it kind of person within reasonable boundaries.

I don't support taxpayers supporting that corporate industry personally, but there are worse things to worry about and to actually oppose imo.
