@brie I thought I would be too far south as well but Alabama and Texas saw them faintly but were able to catch pics. Fl Atlantic coast areas apparrently saw them too. I looked but didn't see anything. I'd still take a look depending on what the predictions say.
@GQB OMG, just read the rrevised forecast and guess what???? Calls for clearing tonight with calm winds. YES! This is after I wrote to my friend Barb and said, I f the universe truly loved me, it would grant me clear skies, but of course that is a truly egocentric viewpoint! Then voila, I get the forecast. I'm jumping up and down and sideways too!
@GQB We had a late night rain shower but it's perfectly clear now and not a thing. I will try one more time in a bit. I am so disappointed. Is anyone else seeing anything this evening?
@GQB Woke up at 3:30 am. Gorgeous night for stargazing, but alas, no northern lights again. I was positive I would see something when I awoke, but guess it wasn't meant to be. 😭😭😯
@MondayMarionJ ☹️ never got strong enough again to get down here. I downloaded a recommended app to see if it could help me figure out when go out. I think it works but alas no G5 strength. Oh well guess we'll will have to figure out something to go see them right?!!
@GQB Can’t see a thing here .. we’ve had relentless rain for days .. but the pics from Tasmania are so amazing .. hopefully @rLok got to see something 🤞
@pixelcats@GQB we didn’t get to go out hunting for a good spot, but got to see it a bit from our house (there was a bit of cloud cover in the way where we were)
Cool beans! Mr. Tiki was on a flight yesterday during all the fun, so he's requested I get a photo of our house under northern lights. I only have my crap iPhone, but I'll give it a go.
@croptopjin@tikistitch@MondayMarionJ apparently some on the coast down here saw them, faint to the naked eye but captured by camera. I didn't see anything remotely looking like them. Keeping an eye out though tonight. We have clear skies for now and should keep them overnight
