@r000t@picofarad well i can get you something in our datacenter. the owner ignores anything from europe and any time he gets a complaint about us he prints it out and puts it on the office wall. what kind of NVMe space are you talking about? consumer grade intel, ryzen/epyc what you need
@graf
Any processor should be fine, I'd probably be looking at 2x1TB or better for the storage, at least 16GB of memory.
What I really need to do is sit down and actually optimize postgres so I can raise the retention time without raising the time it takes to perform a search. I'd like to have indefinite hashtag search. @picofarad
@r000t@picofarad alright leave this with me for a bit and ill see what i can do, probably have something to quote tonight or in the early am. datacenter is in liberty lake, WA
@r000t@picofarad well for 55$ you'd be looking at Intel i5-10500T with 32GB DDR4 and 2x1 u.2 NVMe therabouts. I'll have to check with the owner, he's not answered me yet but with ECC I might be able to swing E3-1245 v5 or E3-1285 v6 tier with 32GB ECC. it depends what they have in stock tbh
@r000t@picofarad i was talmbout subdomains but i used to run the biggest relay (relay.fedi.agency) but turned it off. if i turn it back on like 1500-1600 should eventually resub automatically, i think
@graf
Um.... Right now a:P is meant to be a relay client I'd have to look at what changes I'd need to make for it to be a relay server. I don't think I'd actually have it send statuses back out, sounds like a lot of traffic. @picofarad
