Northern elephant seals huddle together at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center’s temporary field hospital in Laguna Beach, California, US. The area is seeing a higher number of sick or dead seals than in previous years.
With so many unwanted #pets, staff say things are at a breaking point. People come to the shelter looking to surrender their animals but are turned away daily.
“We have about 45 #dogs on our waiting list to come in, we probably have double that in #cats waiting to come in.”
If you've lost a pet in the Valley View storm, All American Dogs Shelter has been out to the area and has picked up several pets.
They will be diligently searching for and picking up loose/stray animals and taking them back to the shelter in Pilot Point.
Please contact the shelter or (better) go out there and see if your furry family member has been captured and is waiting for you.
If you haven't had a chance to do so yet, and your pet is microchipped, please contact your microchip company to be sure the contact info is up to date.

@ai6yr Yeah, Okay, Well, reviews serve as a source of information... but are not always trustworthy. As long as positive comments outnumber the negative ones 🤨 🤫
