I am a little skeptical for one reason alone. I've listened to a few interviews with the founder, and I am getting a lot of the painkiller-induced, crypto-bro, everything-sucks-let-me-fix-it narrative, which I don't think I enjoy.
Daylight is like what the reMarakable would have looked like, if it were funded solely on Bitcoin.
I need to work on an eink display editor/terminal theme that uses font weight, italics, underlining, highlighting, etc. rather than colors for syntax highlighting. #eink
Spricht noch irgendwas gegen E-Ink im #öpnv außer vielleicht der Preis? Im Sommer kommen 42-Zoll-Schirme mit RGB-Layer (Kaleido 3). Auflösung reduziert sich zwar durch die indirekte Farbproduktion (es gibt keine Farbkörner im Panel). Aber es wirkt ausreichend auf mich und sie schalten binnen 0,5 s. Die Spectra-Demo vom letzten Jahr sieht natürlich cooler aus.
Pre-ordered Bigme B251, the standalone monitor! As someone who spends a lot of hours in front of a screen, moving to eink on my smartphone and now my desk - connected to my laptop - I’m really excited to use it!
What a teaser!!! I would have gotten Hisense A9 CC, but sadly Hisense no longer makes eink smartphones. Wondering if Bigme will bring these to Europe. They have licensed Google Play, and hopefully they come with at least Android 13? Would love to review it!

Here's a demo of LineageOS 20 - Android 13 running on Hisense A9, using the latest Eink Center app which can now be updated without reflashing the system image!
Juhu. Heute haben wir unsere access points für die #Eink Displays fertig gebastelt und in Betrieb genommen. Die Displays haben wir auf dem #37C3 von der @cbase bekommen. Vielen Dank noch einmal dafür! Einige werden wir hier als Raumschilder und einige als Info Displays nutzen.
Sweet sunshine, stripped down and #Accessibility oriented #GNOME is nice. I've got the following settings enabled and I feel like I can see! There are some features I'd like to see added, like permanent color filters, but this is still great.
