I only heard Shipbuilding in the late 80s when Chet Baker enjoyed a brief encore via Bruce Weber and Interview mag. One article mentioned his solo in the song. Heartbreaking, gorgeous.
#DonBryant was born in Memphis, grew up singing in church and was a major contributor to the #Memphis Blues/Soul sound of the 60s and 70s as both writer and performer, and continues to be.
