My biggest gripe with the game so far was the choice the devs made to have the game run at an constant 2.39:1 aspect ratio, causing letterboxing all of the time on 16:9 monitors. Thankfully many others didn't like this and it's an easy fix!
You can tell Ninja Theory have put a lot of effort into this game.
Probably the best thing about the last game was the audio experience, and it's even better in this one. Extra subtle details like evil laughter mixed in with wind blowing, or the little shades of red on screen co-ordinated with when Shadow talks to Senua.
And the visuals are incredible. I've jumped into the Photo Mode a few times already!
Just finished Senua’s Saga: #HellBlade2 and was incredibly disappointed.
We adored the first game, and while this one is gorgeous and has a couple inspired moments, it’s hollow, ineffective, and ultimately tedious in almost all aspects, particularly the gameplay and story, which is pretty damning.
If it tickles your fancy at all, just go play Senua’s Sacrifice: Hellblade again instead. It’s not even worth playing if you already have Game Pass - it’s just a waste of time.
Yes, it is a video game. But Senua’s Saga is an interactive piece of art. It is experience. It is doing something different in a familiar space. The negative reviews I have read seem to forget that not every AAA title needs to focus on combat first. There are many ways to use this medium, and Hellblade 2 shows this off wonderfully. I am thankful that Ninja Theory was able to tell this story.
If this works on #SteamDeck I'll get it there. The lack of marketing is frustrating though which only feeds into my concern that Ninja Theory are in line to be shut down no matter what happens with the game #VideoGames#Xbox
#Hellblade2 is only two weeks away, and fans feel Xbox should be making more noise
What? #Hellblade2 will release on May 21st already!? 😍 I'm so extremely hyped right now. Senua is by far my favorite video game protagonist and I can't wait to play the second entry.
