I notice her support for the Labour party, her truly appalling behaviour as a council leader in Islington, hiding and then excusing child abuse, her record on education and much much more are mentioned but never questioned. Never has the term hagiography been better deserved.
“It is still up for argument both within his party and among voters whether he is a firmly anchored leader of genuine conviction, the case made by his allies. Or is he, as enemies to both right and left contend, a ruthless opportunist who will say or do anything to get power?”
“That’s odd, observed Rajan. Because you forced Labour’s North of Tyne mayoral hopeful, Jamie Driscoll, out of the party for sharing a platform with Ken Loach. And Diane Abbott is still not allowed back in despite having apologised for her antisemitic remarks.”
A nice piece by the Wee Ginger Dug laying bear the ‘forgetfulness' and hypocrisy of London Labour with reference to Krishnan Guru-Murthy’s polite but excruciating interview with Sarwar and the great U-turn on workers rights.
Why don't Sarwar and Staremer admit it. They want Holyrood to be reduced to a Labour controlled council?
What is nor alluded to is that the Scottish government have worked to alleviate this in as much as they can. The branch party in Holyrood was generally supportive but the mother ship has no intention of removing the cap if Labour MPs are to be believed.
Has he found a spine or are they worried about the branch party?
The article in the the Gruaniad mentions mentions ‘Scottish Labour leader echoes call by London mayor Sadiq Khan for halt over conduct of war in Gaza’ but as per normal does not mention anyone else. Or the fact that ‘Scottish’ Labour have been hiding under rocks.
The #SNP are accused of failing to build a consensus - except with those weak ‘Scottish’ Labour MSPs who are clearly to blame for betraying the party and, come the revolution will be taken out and shot. What are #Murray and the other one thinking of? It certainly is never #Gaza or #Scotland. #LabourHypocrisy #LabourLies
‘So why no mention of the £25-a-week-per-child Scottish child payment that the Scottish government introduced to mitigate the dangerously low levels of welfare benefits mandated by the UK government?”
