Perhaps Nikki Haley is looking across the Pond at our Second-Past-The-Post Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who became PM without further consultation with party members or indeed the British public after Thick Lizzy resigning 49 days after being selected as Tory party leader (and making a dog's dinner of being PM).

We all know #SCOTUS will, after prevarication designed to bolster Donald Trump's presidential bid, rule that the President of the United States does NOT have absolute immunity from prosecution for any of their acts in office.
To rule otherwise would be to grant Joe Biden carte blanche to order Seal Team Six to assassinate the justices of the Supreme Court before January 2025.
