Rs in Congress get 95% of the gun rights lobby’s campaign donations -aggressively run interference for their base’s bus -selling as many guns as possible to whoever wants to buy. #2A: not just an American right for🔫 MANUs. It’s a human right, maybe even worth putting in the UN Charter. For US weapons IDU: everyone everywhere needs a🔫. N America's users want drugs. Caribbean & Central & South America’s narco-traffickers want🔫s.
As someone who almost always open-carries guns I must say, the one thing I dont like is how certain people assume your a republican or pro-trump when they see it. Today I had an experience with a tow truck driver who was overtly racist the whole ride home and I suspect its because he saw my gun and made some assumptions.
Pro-guns is probably the only topic where I align with the right at all really.
Love both, and very excited for their next game, No Rest for the Wicked - which I don’t know if it’s been said explicitly, but is rumored to also be a Metroidvania.
I know it might be a little cliché, but I would still rank Hollow Knight as my #1 Metroidvania, but these two are my #2A and #2B, even after loving the new Prince of Persia. The level of polish is incredible and Wisps just cranked it up even more.
A state supreme court deciding that basically their religious understanding is more important than the US Constitution and SCOTUS support for gun rights. I can't support that as an atheist and a guy who thinks the rule of law matters even though I want less guns around and interpret 2A differently than Heller did, but how does a state's rights religious conservative argue with that? #AlohaSpirit
I encourage it. This will drive anyone out of Hawaii but the criminals, promptly crashing their tourist industry, and then they can languish in poverty until death takes them. The rest of us will see again how important the #2A is.
Under #TFG, there’ll be no freedom of the press (America will become like Iran, KSA, RU…), no #DEI, no #1A rights & most rights, no access to abortion, & little access to healthcare, public education & services, science, art, experts… Pres Biden & Dems must bring home the message that the election is about freedoms & rights *esp. the right to survive premature death, illness or injury, given his & the Republicans’ views on the #2A & gun violence, right to protest… vs #GOPFascism. Judge Kaplan: I have ruled. Sit down
Habba: I don't like to be spoken to that why. Please refrain. I am asking for an adjournment for a funeral.
Judge Kaplan: Denied. Sit down
Pretty much spot on. Always funny how anti-gun nuts always pretend like gun violence is the only violence that should be reasoned about the exact opposite of every other murder.
@GottaLaff Him, the #NRA, #guns.
New boss, same organization. Same country.
Bang bang, shoot shoot.
I find the self defense argument to be the least risible of those I've heard: "What if someone is trying to kill me?" I say "guns for you = guns for them."
Individuals can be responsible and careful, but society has proven it can't.
But thanks to Scalia, #2A, the industry, mostly-unreal boogeymen, and gun fanciers, here we are.
I’ve been reading about guns and politics in the colonial period. I am a staunch supporter of gun control, but I’m a heretic when it comes to one particular premise for it. I cannot imagine a scenario in which the founders would have proposed the idea that the citizen militias (who won the revolution with many of their own weapons), would suddenly accept the idea that a new federal rule would limit their right to own a firearm for their own defense, or when called to militia duty to …
what kinds are of weapons (or ammo) may be legally produced, sold, or traded.
So, okay, owning guns is a #2A right. Big whoop. With that settled, now let’s talk about what we are allowed to do and not do with them. The constitution says nothin’ about that. And when it doesn’t, that old demon “state’s rights” thing holds that the states can decide these things for themselves.
Republicans will kill us by any means possible to achieve their end. GOP appointed judges are doing a lot of their dirty work:
Fed court blocks most of CA's new sensitive place law: The #2A doesn't allow keeping guns out of hospitals, playgrounds...
"Congratulations, Californians: A federal judge says you can finally bring your guns to playgrounds, banks, zoos, & the parking lots of nuclear sites—just as the Framers intended."

A first-rate editorial from the Washington Post, urging Congress to ban AR-15 style rifles, bump stocks, and large magazines, all tools of mass shooters. Gift access at https://wapo.st/3MNVSkO. It follows from the Post’s excellent ongoing reporting about AR-15s, how they work and how the gun industry promotes them. #GunViolence
@heidilifeldman Weird focus on AR-15s. They aren’t any more dangerous than other semiautomatic rifles. But anyway, they’re supposed to be dangerous and effective against an invading army for example. #2A
Gun nuts get very upset when you mislabel an AR-15 as an assault rifle. So to avoid any controversy, please refer to the weapon using its proper technical classification, which is a mass murder rifle.
@lowqualityfacts The history books show that the US War of Independence ended in 1783, #2A ensures it never finished. Gun nuts still walk around thinking they are fighting it
Dear #2A proponents: "WELL REGULATED" means you have regulations - so that others are protected.
"WELL REGULATED" is NOT:
-permit-less carrry
-no waiting periods for buying a
gun
-weapons of war made for one
purpose only--killing PEOPLE --
carried by citizens on our streets
-high capacity magazines added to weapons for more killing power
-domestic abusers allowed to purchase guns
-no red flag laws
