Five years ago, the CEO of Razer, which makes gaming gear, laptops, bags and chairs, said the brand would make a toaster. As part of the campaign to get the product made, several Facebook users got tattoos of Razer toasters. Now, there's no toaster and the company says it will not be regularly updating its community due to inappropriate social media comments, including death threats. Tom's Hardware caught up with nine of the 12 folk who got tattooed to find out how they feel, and if they still believe.
@ttpphd All the folk interviewed for this article still have their tattoos and one is considering getting it touched up. The writer only managed to reach nine of the 12, but seemingly the whole group is still in touch and no one mentions that anyone has had their tattoo removed. So perhaps the moral of the story is that people who get tattoos of a Razer toaster regret their tattoos less than the average?
I'm growing to dislike wearing a typical large #GAMER headset. I think what I want is gaming-centric, wireless in-ear monitors, with no mic. Do those exist?
Started putting together a dedicated mic + earbud set.
Got a #Razer Seiren V3 Chroma, because RGB, with an Elgato low-profile mic arm, and Razer's Hammerhead Pro earbuds.
I feel less restricted, but the earbuds of course have shorter battery life and the mic is still active, hurting battery.
@InfiniteHench maybe the clip mics from DJI are something for you? But they are expensive. There is also an alternative, but I can’t remember the company name.
Hey, if you've had terrible #Razer customer support (or even if not), can you upvote or comment on this thread?
They're a billion dollar company with some of the worst customer support that many of us have ever dealt with. Something needs to change. And we know they watch these threads (they reply sometimes).
I have the original version of this #Razer chair because the lumbar support felt unique and was the most comfortable of the chairs I could find, gaming and otherwise.
@Dinoracha I really like how the system on this chair (my 1.0 version) is a tall vertical space and not just a little bump in the small of my back. It feels like it fits me better than other lumbar systems I’ve used, including on premium office chairs.
@InfiniteHench I've been hesitant about gamer chairs since the first one I tried was so comically bad after two months. It does seem like this new 2.0 version would fit my weight and height, and also mmmm that adjustable lumbar.
Edit: Except oh crikey, I just looked at its price.
