It's been a great Sunday morning so far...sipping coffee, tinkering with an old Compaq, chatting with you lovelies, and watching Transformers. This is an taped broadcast from 1987, after the movie aired. I don't have as many fond memories of the episodes after the movie due to moving deep into my childhood county afterwards. The channels out there didn't carry the show.
I do remember still seeing Transformer commercials, though, and I fondly remember getting Trypticon for Christmas in 1988. He and Powermaster Optimus Prime would have EPIC, Earth shattering battles on my carpeted floor over the next few years.

I was always a bigger fan of the Primus Origin than the Quintesson Origin but now I'm thinking about how the Quints were reframed from Wonderland weirdos into capitalists/defense contractors who were manipulating whole worlds into war for profit and the Transformers had to deal with THAT being who created them and that goes super hard for a kid's cartoon in a way I think I can only appreciate as an adult who was created by an evil capitalist society. #transformers#RetroCartoons
