AAAA IT'S FINALLY WORKING!!!!
I've only got my Wii U literally one year ago and I'm so happy to see the Miiverse (ok... Juxt) with Wara Wara Plaza in action!
No discussion of Xenoblade Chronicles X is complete without someone lamenting the "cliffhanger" ending, asking for a sequel or some explanation.
The Xeno series is famous for tackling ideas of faith, religion, existence, and yet I haven't seen anybody else pick up that throughout the entire game you're being sold a religion.
You wake up and are told a grand story about how you ended up on this world. The timeframe doesn't seem to make sense. Nobody worries too much about the Blades who died because once you retrieve the lifehold everyone will come back to life. You justify your rampage across and conquering of an alien world by declaring that you're trying to save the souls of yourself and your fellow human beings. You've been tricked into believing in the game's religion.
The ending is meant to pull that rug out from under you. It's meant to make you reassess everything you've done and everything you thought. Does that mean there's no afterlife for those lost Blades? Why did you have to kill so many people if in the end it didn't matter? The ending is meant to be as uncertain and uncomfortable as life itself. To give the game a "proper ending" is to destroy the brilliant ending we got. It should make you think once the game itself is turned off.
I want a Xenoblade Chronicles X port for Switch, and I pray to the LifeHold that they keep the ending intact as it is.
It’s taken way too much time to get this set up, but I can finally play Eternal Darkness again! Short of re-buying a #GameCube, which I do not have the room for, this is the next best thing: a modded #WiiU with Nintendont and a GCN controller via the Mayflash adapter.
I own the disc but you can’t rip the tiny GCN discs using the Wii U, so I downloaded the iso file. Forced widescreen and 480p, emulated memory card slot all running off the microSD card!
I have a soft spot for failed systems, so I finally bought a #wiiu.
Now, which handful of titles are on it that are playworthy and weren’t available before on the #wii or rereleased on the #switch.
Come on die hard #Nintendo fans, help an old gamer. 😄
