Hello everyone, I'm new on Mastodon and I'm excited to be on a social network that is chill, without algorithm and without ads as it feels refreshing, relaxing and the concept of Fediverse / open online is really cool
There are many things I love to talk about but I particularly enjoy talking about Nintendo, JRPGs and Anime.
#VgmWednesday - the title track of the #Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC "Future Redeemed" is played by a character at a pivotal point of the game, maybe even the entire series, making it #DiegeticMusic. it was a special moment for me, because i love piano music and everything done by Yasunori Mitsuda. getting more specific would mean major spoilers though :)
I love Xenoblade, but I've had a hard time getting into the gear crafting/customizing in everything after XCX.
Blade/accessory/class/gems in XC2 and on just feels so much more limiting than those first two games.
I get that some people are able to do some neat things with those systems, but for whatever reason, I find it so... bleh. To the point that I tend to just grind and power level my way through road blocks.
Making my way through the back half of XC3 now, and I just kind of don't care. It's all auto-equip for me.
If you have a Nintendo Switch please do play Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it's such a wonderful and moving game with so much content as well as very vast and compelling worlds
I didn't get the chance to play #XenobladeChroniclesX yet and can't wait for a port on Switch or a remaster on #NintendoSwitch2 but I absolutely love all the games in the trilogy!
#XenobladeChronicles Definitive Edition is a fantastic, epic adventure. It has my favorite story
Tesshou Genda was Vandham's Japanese voice actor in #Xenoblade X, 2, and 3. However, he did not voice Vangarre (who is also called Vandham in Japanese) in Xenoblade 1, but Xord instead.
The different translations of #Xenoblade 1 disagree on the name and premise of an art: Japanese, French, German, and both Chineses call it "Bug Storm/Computer Virus Storm", while English, Spanish, and Italian call it "Mag Storm/Magnetic Storm".
Turning on Casual Mode in #Xenoblade Definitive Edition doubles all damage dealt to enemies. However, this happens after rounding, making all damage dealt an even number. This makes it kind of hard to get the achievement for hitting an exact 777.
Yo! I’m a 24 y/o #gamedev based in Chicago. Currently consider myself indie, and I’ve been making a cute farming game on and off for a while. I love anything with a good story, and I hope to write for an amazing game some day.
Big fan of #pokemon#xenoblade#FFXIV and #StoryOfSeasons, along with a dozen other things that I probably shouldn’t ramble about. But if you don’t mind nerding about about any of those, we’ll get along great!
#Xenoblade 1's icon for Battle Soul (and Final Flicker) mimics the appearance of the talent gauge, since that's what it boosts when used. Except the talent gauge's design was changed in the Definitive Edition so it doesn't match anymore. Oops.
The #Xenoblade 2 limited edition artbook contains a map of Alrest, with this small text in Alrestian. It's hard to decipher exactly, but our consensus is that it was made by the Indoline ministry of justice in the year 4052 (6 years before XC2) and has 123 different countries registered.
In the original reveal trailer for #Xenoblade X (or "A brand new title developed by MONOLITH SOFTWARE INC."), the Millesaur enemies are called "Amphicoelias" (アンフィコエリアス), which implies that their design is based on that particular species. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphicoelias
(Probably #Xenoblade 2 spoilers)
Does Pneuma's "The Chosen One" Battle Skill refer to herself or Rex? Both the German and Spanish versions use the female form, but Italian uses the male form. However, the male form could also be interpreted as a general "unspecified/unknown" form.
FrontierNav combines features from wikis, databases, maps and more into a single unified platform. The data is contributed by the community and anyone can make changes to it.
The hands of Dunban's bandaged arms, only seen in this one scene, were not updated in #Xenoblade Definitive Edition to match his other arms. Instead, they changed the equipment to his bare arms, making the bandaged arms now entirely unused. They also changed which pants and boots he has on for some reason.
According to #Xenoblade 2 Alrest Records, Gort was Lora's mother's (a.k.a Rynea's) lover. The woman in the flashback cutscene of Jin's awakening is most likely Rynea. The internal model names of Gort and Rynea (?) are 娼館の男 and 娼館の女, meaning something like "Man/woman of the brothel".
The Japanese #Xenoblade X Wii U bundle came with a map and artbook, similar to the North American and PAL collector's editions or European Wii U bundle. But unlike the west, they were only released in the console bundle, so if you wanted the map or artbook, you had to buy a new console.
