Samsung Bar Plus 256 GB Stick vs. Kingston DataTraveler SE9 512 GB.

Beide sind relativ schnell, schlüsselbundtauglich und haben ein Gehäuse aus Metall (ohne Deckel).

Der Samsung kommt an meinen Schlüsselbund wegen der höheren Leserate. Der andere an den TV.

There are incredibly fast USB flash drives. Some of them can do like 1000 MB/s read and write.

https://ssd-tester.de/usb_stick_test.php

... But if you're looking for the ones which have a FULL METAL (😈!!!) body, have no cap and have a reasonable, key ring compatible size... Speeds go down to like 200 MB/s read and 100 MB/s write.

That's soo unfortunate. I've ordered a Kingston SE9 G3 512 GB drive yesterday because its benchmarks looked promising. Still.. Do you have recommendations?

People like to say how it's so expensive to make video games today.

What makes it expensive?

Is it the high end hardware.

is it the fact that game devs like to make games 100gb+?

is it because voice actors want more money?

whatever it is, is it possible to get a good modern game that's atleast under 50 gb, that takes advantage of all the modern visual effects and graphic capabilities but not be so demanding and expensive making them?

It's funny because the newest call of duty is so big it had to be split up.
150 gb+ install size

Vital tip from @Nonog on fraudulent USB stick drives. You might think, who cares if it's not a legit brand? But it's far worse:

"What’s insidious is that the files’ contents may have never been stored.”

“These fraudulent drives contain just enough storage — typically 64GB — to convincingly hold the file system’s directory listing. But once its first 64GB of storage space has been filled, the contents of any additional files will not actually be stored"

Anyone know if an external spinny hard drive, formatted to NTFS, will work well enough with a hacked Wii?

I've been having crashes running Wii games from the SD card and I wonder if having to split the Wii image files is the problem. My SD card only allows file sizes to be a maximum of 4 (four) gigabytes.

@JordiGH I'm convinced the 's OS can't handle ...

You may be able to use a -formatted or attached via up to 32GB (on one partition) instead.

Your file sizes would be limited to 2GB still...

A few major gripes I have with @tails is how not only that their is approval-only, preventing me from submitting issues, but that their documentation is incomplete at best some functionality is crippled intentionally and some weird decisions result in Catch 22 scenarios...

Which is sad because I do want to be good if not better than what I've to currently deploy instead of it.

@kkarhan@mstdn.social avatar

@tails @torproject Worse of all: The way I want to deploy is by shoving the latest on a that runs [https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html] and puts the on a seperate Partition on the .

This is done so that updating Tails is fast and painless and doesn't exert higher levels of wear and tear on flash memory as well as allow for flexible choice of media sizes.

Worse: refuses to mount from a secondary Drive instead.
