People like to say how it's so expensive to make video games today.
What makes it expensive?
Is it the high end hardware.
is it the fact that game devs like to make games 100gb+?
is it because voice actors want more money?
whatever it is, is it possible to get a good modern game that's atleast under 50 gb, that takes advantage of all the modern visual effects and graphic capabilities but not be so demanding and expensive making them?
It's funny because the newest call of duty is so big it had to be split up.

do you have a handy #usb or #sdcard you usually travel with? they are small, light, cheap... convenient.
it's not that you store there Top Secrets (maybe!) but in case it was lost or stolen you will feel more relaxed if the drive was securely encrypted. LUKS
#LUKS implements a platform-independent standard on-disk format for use in various tools. This facilitates compatibility and interoperability among different programs and operating systems[...]
I was to write a blogpost about it, but there are plenty of them available to use LUKS encryption in any platform. Just three here:
and How to backup or restore LUKS header by @milosz ⚠️ Do this just after creating your encrypted drive and save the header in another (safe) storage. Use a password manager to create/store safe pass-phrasses (recomended for usb-luks as you most likely will have to hand write it) and passwords.
My usb-luks are automatically detected and mounted (after pass-phrase prompt) in both #archlinux :archLinux: and #debian :debian: 🥳
The PowKiddy #RGB20S is a great device, but the SD cards provided by PowKiddy are of notoriously poor quality. You'll find plenty of reports online from RGB20S owners whose games have suddenly disappeared, or whose device will no longer boot. These are invariably caused by SD card failures....
I am looking for a cartridge for the #atari#7800 that lets me use an #sdcard. In the long-term, something that even supports Wi-Fi would be great... but that is ambitious. Guess I got used to #fujinet on the #atari8bit#retrocomputing. #side3 is also awesome on the #atari8bit So any tips for a good #7800 mega cart?
I just noticed these #Teamgroup branded #memory cards on #Amazon that seem like a great deal! They claim 160/110 MB/s read/write which is pretty fast. Not sure I'd trust them for more than 256GB at a time, but these 128s are cheap enough to throw away!
If you received a PowKiddy RGB20S for Christmas, replace the SD cards
