Amazon is very good at everything it does, including being very bad at the things it doesn't want to do. Take signing up for Prime: nothing could be simpler. The company has built a greased slide from Prime-curiosity to Prime-confirmed that is the envy of every UX designer.

@pluralistic I recently stopped using Amazon. I have always refused to become a Prime member and always select #FreeShipping because I rarely have a time constraint. Amazon began constricting my purchases by forcing me into the Prime membership. I would remove the products until I could get free shipping: they lost sales. I now shop on ebay, and ironically have found much of what I buy is shipped through Amazon Prime. I will not support Bezos' wealth pump to buy another private island or jet.
