After I posted the pictures of Drake, I heard Kengo barking, and soon I saw a deer running in my backyard followed by much slower Kengo. They eventually had a face off but all calm and the deer stayed pretty long. Soon after I lost Drake, a deer visited me. So, I truly believe it was Drake visiting us as the deer, meeting Kengo for the first time.

It's hard to believe but it will be soon one year since Drake left this world. These photos popped up as one year ago today (five days before his final day), when we had our last walk and took the last picture together. He has been watching me from the better place to make sure I'm OK. Thank you my sweet boy. I miss you every day.
Humid but not hot #SilentSunday. Kengo got to get out and walk in peace. He didn't bark once at other dogs. The sound of water is so soothing and therapeutic.

TGIF. I hope you all had a good week. Now I can relax with my flowers and my beloved companion.
My gladiolus gets too tall to stand up straight. A little lighter color this year. I have to hold the stem for photo shoots.
Have a good evening and a great weekend.
I wasn't planning to post today. But since I learned that today is #NationalRescueDogDay and #WorldBeeDay, as well as #Mondog, here are some assorted pictures from our home. This #gardenia is a different variety with thinner petals but smells just as good.
Apparently today is National Rescue Dog Day in the US? If anyone is looking for their new rescue BFF, my foster buddy here (who is - and this is not an exaggeration - absolutely adored by every single person who meets him) is available for adoption 💛
Another dreary weary weekend morning. For sure, it was #SilentSunday. First we went to a county park which would not open until 8:30. We turned around to Sweetwater Creek State Park again. Kengo didn't want to walk much except for eating grass (protesting coming to the same park again?). A short walk in Georgia, USA. (Swapped photos at 10:43)
Well, he won and made it happen! Soon after I posted about non-cooperating weather, the rain stopped and we had a window of opportunity. But it was very humid and not too comfortable a walk. Still, we had our seniors' exercise.
