TGIF. I hope you all had a good week. Now I can relax with my flowers and my beloved companion.
My gladiolus gets too tall to stand up straight. A little lighter color this year. I have to hold the stem for photo shoots.
Have a good evening and a great weekend.
I wasn't planning to post today. But since I learned that today is #NationalRescueDogDay and #WorldBeeDay, as well as #Mondog, here are some assorted pictures from our home. This #gardenia is a different variety with thinner petals but smells just as good.
Apparently today is National Rescue Dog Day in the US? If anyone is looking for their new rescue BFF, my foster buddy here (who is - and this is not an exaggeration - absolutely adored by every single person who meets him) is available for adoption 💛
Another dreary weary weekend morning. For sure, it was #SilentSunday. First we went to a county park which would not open until 8:30. We turned around to Sweetwater Creek State Park again. Kengo didn't want to walk much except for eating grass (protesting coming to the same park again?). A short walk in Georgia, USA. (Swapped photos at 10:43)
Well, he won and made it happen! Soon after I posted about non-cooperating weather, the rain stopped and we had a window of opportunity. But it was very humid and not too comfortable a walk. Still, we had our seniors' exercise.

We came home from the lake, and I noticed the dark violet color variety of #iris was in bloom. #hydrangeas are changing colors nicely. Kengo gave a side eye...
We had planned to go on a trail, but the park gate was still closed. It used to be 'open at dawn' but now not until 7am. Change of plan. A #silentsaturday instead at the lake on a cool (52F/11C) morning. A heron flew away as we approached.

Please please please ask someone before you try to pet their dog.
My dog has very strict boundaries when it comes to strangers, but I can't inform you if you don't bother to ask. Not every dog likes their head being touched.
Monterey Peninsula people, Peace of Mind Dog Rescue is looking for foster homes for a bunch of pups. Most of them are small, and all are adorable little fuzz beans. POMDR is great to foster with if you've been toying with the idea!
#Mondog and #monflowers
Our #roses are entertaining us, while #azaleas are in their final stage.
I hope everyone had a peaceful start of the week, too.
