My gladiolus gets too tall to stand up straight. A little lighter color this year. I have to hold the stem for photo shoots.

Lots of firsts for Trevor this week, to many for one post! Trevor plays with toys, takes treats from a hand, fits into the pack. Big shout out to Lady Winifred who decided he was the son she never had and protects him! Big steps all around!

I wasn't planning to post today. But since I learned that today is and , as well as , here are some assorted pictures from our home. This is a different variety with thinner petals but smells just as good.

Another dreary weary weekend morning. For sure, it was . First we went to a county park which would not open until 8:30. We turned around to Sweetwater Creek State Park again. Kengo didn't want to walk much except for eating grass (protesting coming to the same park again?). A short walk in Georgia, USA. (Swapped photos at 10:43)

Well, he won and made it happen! Soon after I posted about non-cooperating weather, the rain stopped and we had a window of opportunity. But it was very humid and not too comfortable a walk. Still, we had our seniors' exercise.

Meet Trevor, a 5yo puppymill survivor. It's his 3rd day of freedom, he loves to lay outside in the sun on the grass. He still does spend most of his time crated, but has staked out the corner of the couch as his. He's started to eat, needs a trim, a bath, nailtrim and his first doctors appt is next wk.

We came home from the lake, and I noticed the dark violet color variety of was in bloom. are changing colors nicely. Kengo gave a side eye...

We had planned to go on a trail, but the park gate was still closed. It used to be 'open at dawn' but now not until 7am. Change of plan. A instead at the lake on a cool (52F/11C) morning. A heron flew away as we approached.

He didn't start the day/week well as he threw up this morning (on my/our bed). A lot of undigested grass he ate yesterday. But he was fine, ate his breakfast, etc. It only gets better from here!
