“Trespassing in Someone Else’s Woods on a Snowy Evening” - Robert Frost

I mean…he didn’t even try to hide it, it’s right there 🤣

“Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
👉He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.”👈

It’s only a crime if you get caught, right? 😜

"Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that, for destruction, ice
Is also great,
And would suffice."

I like this interpretation of a poem by one of my favorite poets, Robert Frost, from the FB page “American Literature.”

"The Dust of Snow" emphasizes the interconnectedness of nature and human emotions, highlighting how even a brief encounter with the natural world can bring about a shift in our feelings. - American Literature

New blog post about repairing the U.S.-Mexico border fence. Text is mostly Robert Frosts famous poem by the same title.

https://www.mikaljakubal.com/mending-wall/

Yesterday morning I lucked onto a Border Patrol repair crew welding up cuts in the border fence. This crew does 5-10 quick fixes/day, then a contractor comes back and does more "permanent" fixes. If a fix is too good, the human traffickers who cut the fence will just cut the bollard next to it.

A little something for our gracious instance host @ai6yr - they keep Robert Frost’s beekeeping tradition alive at his 1769 stone farmhouse in South Shaftsbury, Vermont.
