🫖 During our outage this morning, people attempting to connect with Flipboard.Social found that we were declaring ourselves to be a teapot. Here's the origin of the unusual internet error message. Tell us, were you familiar with it?

“Though it's got a surprisingly modern look, this teapot was made in the 18th-century in Staffordshire—the heart of Britain's pottery industry. The area’s limestone yielded prehistoric fossils, and potters often turned them into whimsical motifs for teapots.”
My teapot broke! I recently rediscovered my love for loose leaf tea, but broke the spout of my glass teapot last week. A mere tap of the tip of the spout and it broke apart in my hands.
So, I am need of a 1 liter teapot with a strainer. As it will sit on my desk with me most of the day, I would love to have something with a bit of artistry and craftsmanship.
In full compliance to this account stated purpose, I am informing the whole Fediverse that my #teapot is empty, and lodging a complaint to the relevant authorities about this scandalous state #masteadon
Crochet teapot purse complete! I could probably add more detail but I'm actually happy with it. More stuff may get added as I see how it works during use.

I almost completely free styled this. I started with an amigurumi potted plant base and I used a pattern for the roses I found online but the rest I kind of made up as I went. I'm really happy with the outcome. On the next one I want to figure out a way to make the lid more sturdy and I need to find a better leaf pattern but overall I like how this turned out.
As you get up this #SundayMorning & make yourself a #tea, enjoy this #teapot from Jan Huling, US 'beadist' artist - the work is called 'Pretty Pot' - posted by Women's Art (at the other place).
Also had another go at a teaset: it’s tricky getting plates round and even. I am still working on tea cups! The #teapot came out well, though. #Fimo#No52#DollsHouse#craft
I made a #teapot last night! (I'm slightly worried that the handle won't stay on -- I let it get a bit too dry before I attached it.) It's pretty cute though. #pottery#ceramics
"Fancy a #cuppa?" is now available on my website (size 23 x 23cm £55 inc P&P to UK). Plus, I'm having some coasters made of my recent #vintage#crockery#painting.
I still have the Internet Toaster... and it still works. The controller from the demo back in 1990 is long gone (as is the parallel port that drove it) but it's easy to replicate today.
The toaster makes decent toast still but there's an alarming smell from the toaster itself that says "maybe not so much, I'm old".
I do trot the toaster out once in a while for some glamor shots around Portland. It's fond of brunch, coffee, and not surprisingly, bakeries.
Happy birthday to #philosopher Bertrand Russell (1872-1970) who, amongst other things speculated about a teapot orbiting in space.
This lino block print of Russell's Teapot is part of my series of Imaginary Friends of Science of charismatic thought experiments. In this case, the alledged china teapot, in orbit between Earth and Mars is an analogy….
