I would never do standup comedy for a lot of reasons, but one of the main reasons is because I've learned almost everything by reading and I have very bad intuitions about how words should be pronounced so I think it's best for everyone if I just keep typing in this box and everyone else can keep assuming I pronounce these words properly.

Did you know that a #book was banned in 3rd c. BCE for being just too #depressing?

Hegesias of Cyrene was an #ancient #Greek #philosopher from a hedonist school preceding Epicureanism.

He was so deeply convinced that our #goal should be to avoid #pain, that he felt that #death is rather desirable, as #life is never good.

#Cicero claims that Hegesias wrote a book called ‘Death by Starvation’ that was so bleak, that many readers #killed themselves.

It was subsequently banned.

Most professional philosophers boycott and “wish the media would stop referring to her as a .” Even when a journal or textbook is not hostile to her arguments, they consistently have little connection with her written texts because of parochial attachment to the frameworks Rand challenges.

This is simple , and these professionals have yet to overcome their own biases. Can you?
