Inner leaves of the succulent pillow - done!
there are two more layers of leaves to sew together, and then add a backing. As I add the layers and it gets more three-dimensional, the work gets more complicated!
Back to the succulent pillow project - time to sew all the pieces together! I'm figuring it out as I go along, as this is my first time sewing crochet, and the pattern I'm using doesn't really have any guidance.
“Violet Backed Starling”, new batches on all weights because it was a surprise success at @wonderwoolwales last weekend. I put a little pink in the purple to mimic the gorgeous feathers.

OK, I should really change all my projects that use #npm/#yarn to use #pnpm. If you barely use Node then it's probably not worth it, but for a webdev it now seems like a no-brainer.

Finished the next skein of my very large process a raw fleece into #handspun#yarn project. It started with a box of 5 kg raw #fleece from the nearby #Alblasserwaard and progress is slow but satisfying. @handspinning
But this is something special, yarn from a shepherdess from northern Germany, a crowd funding project. I went in for yarn and spinning fiber. The latter arrived some time last year, the yarn a few days ago.
2.000 m of (probably?) worsted weight yarn in natural white the smells wonderfully of sheep and lanolin - I love that.
I already have an idea: one of those 70ies style belted cardigans.
This is a very simple scarf I’m making, but I really love it. I’m using just a garter stitch to highlight the inherent softness of this yarn (Urth Yarns sock) and make a loose-feeling, comfy knit, and ensure that the yarn's pattern is the scarf’s only pattern: beautiful evolving stripes.
Before anyone gets excited, this baby bonnet isn't for me - a friend is expecting, and I'm putting a few bits together before she's due, so there will be a few more baby things coming along in the near future. Only trouble is, it's a summer baby so there won't be a lot of knitted or crocheted things I can make for them as a newborn, but I can plan ahead for winter and the sizes they should be in by then!
I have a "no buying yarn unless you have a project in mind" rule, buuuut I might have ordered 5 skeins for a yet-to-be-planned sweater project 🙈
I'm thinking something like this cabled mesh sweater? With those traditional 90s punk stripes (you know the ones). With or without the color work skull (to be decided)
