@GottaLaff @JeriLRyan I AM NOT an expert on labor contracts or unions. HOWEVER from everything I have read about the issues, I really can't damn or condemn either the writers, or actors for these strikes. Especially when I hear comments by studio execs suggesting that people losing their homes "is a good thing" and others agreeing with them. That is cruel, greedy and ignorant. No one should EVER be forced into a terrible corner like that.

@JeriLRyan It's turning into a real cat fight and a challenge. So far my money is on Mastodon even if it's very confusing to me My main gripe about "Threads" is that there isn't a desktop application.

@JeriLRyan I just signed up for threads, a few hours ago, but so far I am not impressed. It seems like Instagram with a retweet option. Additionally I can't access it from the Desktop. I haven't tried yet on my Chromebook. I am on the waiting list for Bluesky. Gone are the days when I was the media manager for a camera store and I would be the first to get all new cyber products. Mastodon is fun but the different servers are a bit annoying.

@JeriLRyan they don't understand... Poor little pooch, all dogs and cats hear are the booms and feel the concussions. I have comforted many a terrified cat on my lap when fireworks are going off.
