Well. "Open sesame" is actually a thing.

Just googled where sesame seeds come from (it never occurred to me to ask before) and found that they grow in pods that are hung upside down to ripen until they burst open and release their seeds. The treasure is revealed.

@augieray I started masking with a shemagh in cold & flu season some years back, & took to masks when Covid flared, sticking with 'em for shopping or on the bus, hospital, socialising. I value immune compromised & disabled lives. I appreciate the protection a mask gives me & I'm not ready to surrender to a self-imposed "back to normal". Pic credit: Lonesome Dove

Once in a kayak in a swamp in CT. Saw a young buck on the shore with little fuzzy antler buds. Using my paddle silently, I drift closer to get a photo.

The deer noticed me. Looks right at me drifting towards him -- I expect him to run. People are scary, right? Not in a kayak, apparently. He stomped his foot & pointed his fuzzy buds like he's gonna gore me.

I'm trying to stop drifting closer but I can't!

He charges into the water, I almost capsize.

@futurebird Gotta confess, I felt intimidated by a ram charging towards me & 6-yr old No1 Stepson in a field - got the kid behind me & considered legging it, but then thought it tooooo undignified to be run off by a bloody sheep. It slowed down & stopped, went back to grazing.
