I saw this lovely yesterday in the metro. He was very friendly and he wanted me to touch him and he licked my hands. He had only one eye.

Jasper (cat) paws at the cupboard door that has the cat food. Somewhere, I've shared a video of this before. It's kinda cute, until it gets annoying ,but he had fresh kibble and only got wet food because he ate the leftovers that (the late) Maya had. He misses her, and begged for the soft food, until he got it, and then didn't eat it but looked around to try and understand why Maya wasn't here. 😿​
I know Teddy misses her too, but less intense. Jasper has known Maya for 8 years, Teddy, a year

My own Canijo was ill for a month after Rabi's death. It takes time for them as well to cure the wounds when they miss a loved one :'(

I think she's dying... 😢 And I'm crying. She hasn't stood up today, she smelled , and had her shower laying down.

She's nearly 18, once a tiny feral rescue, she always considered me her dad. Her eyes usually look in mine , and she winks

Her eyes never opened until now.

I've been rocking her in my arms wrapped up in a towel.

She moved once, then drifted away.. very listless.

If she doesn't pass without pain, I will have to consider putting her to sleep anyway.

@ncrav I used to play choose your own adventure books as a kid. This one was given me as a present and I enjoyed it very much. I recontacted with my inner child :ablobcaramelldansen:

Fun, fast and easy to play. It may get repetitive after several plays, but it's not an expensive book and it contains cute art. The author is preparing a much longer new book that will be published this month. I might ask for it to my family as a Christmas present :ablobcatnod:

@stux In 2012 I adopted Rabi, a senior lady cat which was very ill. The shelter took her in order for her not to die alone on the streets (they thought nobody will adopt such an ill and elder cat).
It was expected for her to live about 6 months. When we bring her home she regained her self confidence and, although chronically ill, her illness was under control by our vets.
She lived with us for 2 years and 4 months and had a happy and cozy life with us till she died. We miss her :ablobcatcry:
