As CNN documents, it was outsiders who caused the violence at UCLA, not the students. And it's vital to keep in mind that the police "stood by for hours" -- watching (obviously indifferent if not pleased) as the outsiders beat up protestors and journalists -- and thereby became collaborators with the violent intruders into a peaceful protest.

I have been watching left-leaning Twitter analysts and pundits for 15 years now. While a tiny number of them have ever been consistently right about anything, the more disturbing thing to me has how little impact ANY of this social media plasma has in serving anyone but MAGAs and other bad actors. They rely on social media bullshit to change their world. And it does. Liberals pretend anti-bullshit will do the same. But it almost never does.

Another thing I’ve noted about women like Marge Greene, Elise Stephanik, Nancy Mace, Kaleigh McEnany, and Lauren Boebert? No one on social media—even on the right—ever seems to openly complain of misogyny when people verbally savage them for their idiocy.

Lately I can’t escape the thought that most social media is just a logical extension of the common experiences most of us had in high school. It has the same obsession with simplistic triviality passing as wisdom; mean girls of every gender; bullies who almost always get away with it, nerds thinking they’re gifted, special or persecuted; privileged white kids saving whales; and hard-working brown nosers, well on their way to a smelly success.

Had an extra day off today, so I made some calls to find a new doctor and to deal with some bureaucratic things. 2 1/2 hrs later and I’ve made almost no progress.
Also, since when did medical services have a separate office “For Her” for gynecological services??? I thought I was a whole human. Not a person with some human parts and some, “For Her”.
I note, they don’t have separate offices “For Him”, because apparently all of a male body is considered to be normal human parts.

@samhainnight California passed a law back in the early 90’s (I think) that made OB/GYN the primary MD for women. For everything.

@samhainnight It should still be on the books. You can demand it if you need to. Look it up. The Dr. who pushed the legislation was named John Mahnke and he was recognized for it at at awards ceremony in Sacto. No insurance company can legally deny you the services of OB/GYN as your main provider if you are a woman.

He’s going to choose Don Jr. He wants to be sure of 2 things (mebbe 3): Dynasty, a pardon, the end of all investigations.

These GOP ass kissers all want to be VP because they know he’s going down, they want the blessing of his cult, and they need to be in position to take the wheel when he’s arrested or dies. They are banking on him dying. All this over the top ‘loyalty’, is a show.

Play-by-play Trump trial coverage, with so-called analysis of whether the prosecution or the defense has "scored points" -- the staple of Big Journalism right now -- is the equivalent of horse-race political coverage.

All it takes are stenographic skills and the ability to make confident-sounding guesses. It's clickbait and ratings bait, and it does nothing good for public understanding.

POLL. If my ergonomic desk “adapter” product aleviated 75 to 100% of your back, neck, arm & wrist pain as you do computer work for many hours, would you balk at a $129 sticker price, IF the “system” required additonal components (that you may have already): an executive armchair, monitor arm, and footrest?

@shoq @Snowshadow I’m big on prevention. I worked hard hat jobs that were very dangerous. The one place I got hurt the most, did the most damage, was working in an office with poor ergonomics.

I’m probably going to do a kickstarter for this product. With enough startup capital, I can get it into clinical trials of interest to insurance companies. i’ve heard more than one expert tell me that they love products like this if they prevent the condition in the first place, rather than deal with its many disorders and symptoms, which all get very expensive to treat.
