@ai6yr WILD ANIMALS are NOT Disney Characters. I’ve seen shocking displays of adults putting themselves and their families, even very small children at risk, trying to ‘Pet’ or ‘Feed’ wildlife. It’s like a Darwin Club meeting.

Remember:

There were possible crimes, but tax and reporting crimes are not election interference.

There is also a circular thing with Cohen and Pecker telling the court that they expected Trump to pay back the hush money payments.

If they expected to get paid back, it was a loan to Trump and not a contribution. Right?

@Teri_Kanefield If it was a ‘loan’, it was also an expenditure, right? And he didn’t list it. But, if it was a loan that wasn’t paid back, it was a contribution, again, not listed on his campaign financials. Further, as a loan or an expenditure, not listing the purpose is also an issue. Deliberately mislabeling either/or is also an issue. Misrepresenting is the problem, right?

@Teri_Kanefield My reading of it is that the NY laws regarding campaigns and what constitutes campaign or election interference are pretty much unique to NY and that is where the beef is sandwiched.

I am almost finished with this week's blog post.

Meanwhile, my 3-year old neice (grand niece? what do I call my niece's daughter?) taught me to play hide and seek.

Here's how:

💠 I tell her where I'll hide.
💠She closes her eyes and counts to 10.
💠When she reaches 10, she opens her eyes and looks for me.
💠It does't take long to find me.
💠Then we laugh.

I suspect I am supposed to tell her where I will hide so she doesn't feel scared when she opens her eyes and doesn't see me.

@ai6yr @mybarkingdogs It is a great tea! And it is delicious cooked. Mostly we have used it medicinally. Stinging Nettle Tea, hot or cold, is unlike anything else. It is delicious

@Teri_Kanefield My neighbor’s chihuahua mix goes nuts if anything or anyone approaches (within 20 feet) of their house. She runs under furniture to keep barking while you’re trying to have a convo with the neighbors and they are trying to shush her. However, one night 3 prowlers were all over their backyard, and little princess could not be bothered to wake up from her snuggle spot. JJ seems to be ON THE JOB regardless.

I twice made, then deleted, a post about the Tik Tok ban being signed into law. I deleted it the first time because the bill was less bad than I described the first time and deleted it the second time because it was worse than I described the second time. I made myself a promise I wouldn't try to do like real-time Posting About Politics on Mastodon and I'm kinda breaking my rules.

However I'm really, really angry about this bill so I will make a third attempt

@mcc the Tik Tok part was the baby in the bath water. But it can be overcome, undone, as soon as a responsive and educated congress is elected. I’d like to see laws that stopped ALL companies from harvesting our personal data and selling it to 3rd parties or sharing with govts, foreign or domestic. I see the T T ban as a temporary inconvenience that will be overcome by popular demand in the very near future.

In his mind, there would be throngs outside the court, chanting his name. He could be Mussolini on the balcony, acknowledging their support and how much he deserved it. 3 people show up. Now, just one, with a placard and a huge round bell. But you know what bothers him a lot? He has to show up, on time, in court. He can’t keep the court waiting on him. He has no power in there. He is visibly diminished. And the crowds… are only in his mind. Court doesn’t wait… 1 man with a bell… distillation

@tantramar Yeah, we celebrated that today… and probably again tomorrow. Today’s bonus round was the electrician crawling all over the house, sawing, drilling, stringing, to repair a problem that has to be done in stages. The next one involves a crane, flaggers, cones, supervisor, crew of 4. That will be sometime this week or next, or the one after. We’ll definitely celebrate because we won’t be blowing breakers when we run AC this summer.
