In late 2021 during archaeological excavations near the Dutch city of Nijmegen, a blue glass bowl was found, completely intact. This item is believed to be around 2,000 years old.

What's most striking to me is how normal it looks. A bowl like this wouldn't look out of place in a modern home decoration shop.

Trying an experiment...

Made the same post on Threads, Twitter, and Mastodon (follower count: 3, 136, 141 respectively).

Results:
10 impressions on twitter, no engagements
1 like on threads (thanks co-worker!)
7 favs, 2 boosts, 1 comment on Mastodon

Certainly seems more people want to engage more directly here! To me!

@Tearcell Not really a meaningful comparison for the obvious reason, no.

driving more engagement than is certainly interesting, though.
Is it because Tags on here are not quite as swamped as on Twitter, the local timeline existing, or a genuine difference in the userbase (Consume vs. Interact)? 🤔

@Tearcell Yeah, feeding the Algorithms just the right stuff is near impossible and always somewhat of a gamble.

Even if you do everything 'right' with it is not a guarantee for success. I lost 2/3 of the Comapny account's impressions between Q1 and Q2 with them pushing the visibility changes in March/April, despite posting more relevant stuff more regularly in Q2.

Lots of potential research to be done for the side of things for sure!
