👋Hi, I'm Aaron, nice to meet you!
📽️ I (sometimes) make videos on the internet that vaguely resemble good content.
📸 I also sometimes do little photography experiments.
🐧Of course I run Linux, it's in the name :)
🦣 I wanted to try out Mastodon about 2 years ago, and I ended up here. Never used Birdsite!

does anyone have any experience with exercise triggered headaches? my gf has been having this issue for the last month where if she exercises too much (e.g. walking too far, lifting weights too much, etc) she starts getting headaches that slowly taper off over the course of a few days. the threshold is substantially lower than what she used to be capable of, like 5-10%.

we've already seen a few doctors about it and she has a neurologist appointment coming up. it's hard to search anything about this kinda thing because the internet is garbage these days.

@suricrasia
That sounds really similar to chronic dehydration.
As someone who runs quite a bit, you need to drink at least two bottles of water every day along with a ton more if you're working out.

The VPC-P11 series Sony Vaio's design is so timeless that a certain company tried (and failed) to steal its look for a "popular" tech product which shall remain unnamed...

Remember that Copilot Recall is controlled by a setting on Windows.
Also remember that employers can forcefully enable settings on a work-issued computer.

Stop letting Brother steal your money with expensive refills!!! :ablobcatattention:
(They may not do it with printers, but they sure do love to scam you with label printer refills)

Embossing label makers still exist, and they're cheap as dirt. :ablobcatbongo:

@r000t
I thought these refills were cheaper, and they are, just not by as much as I thought...

I found a company on Amazon that sells assortments of resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, screws, nuts, standoffs, and a whole load of other things in these really neat boxes. :blobwizard:
I wish more companies sold their small part assortments like this... :ablobcatwave:

If you want them, they're called EEEEE Electronics, though they don't seem to exist outside of Amazon which at least a little questionable...

Seriously though, too many companies sell their resistors in boxes full of 100+ barely labeled plastic bags that are impossible to sort through. :blobcatgooglytrash:

ok so i'm using the xfce beta of solus now and it seems to be doing well so far

i've ruled out the possibility of in browser media viewing instead using freetube for youtube videos and streamlink twitch gui for twtcih streams via mpv

i can conclude that while linux can do well with the atom that's in the minis forum z83-f it's not going to magically revive such a weak device

i still paid less than a rpi3 cost altogether though

I just remembered Crunchbangplusplus and BunsenLabs which both use straight Openbox as their DE, making it even lighter weight.
Still not gonna do that much, but every little bit matters :)

after much hopping around where i've landed so far is void linux built from base using lxqt

if anyone knows of anything lighter than lxqt but is not a bunch of hotkeys let me know

i'm trying to find the best option for a weak intel atom cpu and 4gb of DDR3L ram

It uses LXQT, so pretty similar, but Debian and it's just an all-in-one package.

Google purposefully destroyed its search quality so when they shoved AI into it, they could claim it made their search "better"
