Beach day haul!
I collect a few of these freshwater snail shells every year from the local swimming lake. They're great to use for the western water element on portable altars and spells, or wherever you can't leave a cup of water out. Like, if you have a cat whose hobby is knocking down every glass of water they can find.

    @khthoniaa @fedpagan @witchcraft @paganism I still have kids that go trick-or-treating so we do that and I pick different ways of dressing as a witch when I take them out. I do light some candles to honor my ancestors and there are a couple of prayer like chants I do. If it’s nice and there isn’t school/work the next day, we do a fire in the fierpit. If we can’t, I light a bunch of candles and quietly sit in the dark. I will sometimes make soul cakes.

    On the off chance anyone that follows me knows someone or has been in this situation, my daughter and I rescued a duckling this morning trying to cross a busy main road. We searched both sides where it could have come from, no mom or siblings in sight. I’m striking out on finding any rehabbers who take waterfowl, so if anyone has advice on how to take care of this cutie, if the last place I called won’t take it, I’d appreciate it.     @seachanger What is bizarre is there are no ponds right by us, my daughter happened to just notice something trying to jump up the curb, and it didn’t register at first what she’d seen. I turned around and somehow it had managed to cross two lanes and was in the center lane and was on its way to trying to cross the other two lanes. Grabbed it and went over to where it was at first trying to jump up. No mother, no siblings, even the other side, nothing. Like it just appeared.

    @georgetakei So, I have to have their beliefs shoved down my throat and that’s protected, but I’m not afforded those same rights to not have their beliefs shoved down my throat. Also, only white privileged children who’s parents can go to top tier schools. And, my kids need to drown in debt to achieve their dreams b/c fuck me for not being privileged. All decided by a group mostly bought and paid for with several actively taking bribes. I may need to rethink my stance on hexes.

    My two little old men, Kael, tuxedo, and Tiger, tabby. Nearly 11 years ago someone tossed a litter of kittens into our backyard, giving our girls the best day of their lives, and us deciding to keep these two wonderful little boys. And for years, my kids thought that was how you got cats.

    Going to allow myself a moment to whine. Recently diagnosed with and while I wait to get into a rheumatologist so I can hopefully try to get on something control this, it is so frustrating to be in a lot of pain and people just not understanding it. Yeah, my hands don’t look all twisted. Yeah, I don’t look as bad as that person with OA and a trigger finger. But ya know what, I’m exhausted, I feel sick, and I’m in pain, but I look good. Stop comparing me to others.
