Two images of one of Curiosity Rover's wheels acquired 13 months apart. These show that the wheel wear has slowed dramatically.

Any idea where JPL have moved the Mars mission maps to? The old URL for M20 and MSL are broken. They have just reformatted a number of mission pages (raw images, home pages etc), but I cant find the new URLs for the maps...

After your deep dive into Mars dates/time, are you aware of a method of calculating the sol for a given mission that's based on current Earth date/time [=NOW()].

It's something I would like to build into a spreadsheet, so any tips would be appreciated.

Another drive from Perseverance rover takes it to site 52.0870 during Sol 1138 (May 3, 2024).

EDIT - The rover has not yet reached the downslope, see recent post by @65dBnoise

Attached is a roughly processed 16-tile NavCam image acquired at the end of the drive. NASA/JPL-Caltech

A look at a small section of Curiosity's workspace in this composite image assembled from 4 Bayer reconstructed R-MastCam frames that were assembled in MS-ICE. The images are from December 27, 2023 (sol 4049) at site 105/1108 after a short drive/climb a few sols earlier. The rover is located at the head of Gediz Vallis (see map) I've also attached the drive data. Image credits: NASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS/USGS/fredk)

Ingenuity Mars Helicopter has completed its 62nd flight. Here's a processed RTE image acquired during the flight looking Northeast and featuring 'Jurabi Point' (a future science stop for the rover). The flight was on October 12th (Sol 940) and landed at ~10:25am local time, indicating a very healthy charge in the helicopters batteries. The helicopter landed ~25 meters NE of airfield Tau. Have you ever found a JSON file for the M20 Raw images?

I've used this one for MSL, but can't find one for M20

A closer look at the tailings (cuttings) around Curiosity Rover's latest sample drill hole 'Ubajara'. This processed image is from one of the rover's science cameras (R-MastCam) and was acquired on mission sol 3823 (May 9, 2023) at site 101/774, that's over 10 years and 9 months after landing on Mars. These sample holes have a diameter of about 1.6 centimeters (5/8th inch)

Curiosity's workspace after a bump (short drive) on August 21, 2023 / sol 3924. This mosaic was assembled from 6 overlapping Bayer reconstructed L-MastCam images. It covers an area about 2 meters (~6 feet) across. The mosaic features some small boulders from the Gediz Vallis ridge. Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS/fredk

These are from Gale crater, snapped by Curiosity rover on August 18, 2023 (Sol 3921) using its 100mm mast camera.
