I’ve been using Gimp for years. It’s the only way I know. If I tried to use photoshop I would have a hard time getting anything done too. I’m really good with gimp though.

What do they want that Idaho can provide that Oregon can’t? Some people have to flee entire states over abortion laws for lifesaving medical procedures and they’re told stuff like “well if you don’t like it just move”.

Now all they have to do is convince game developers to use this then it’s back to every AAA game being impossible to run in Linux again. Patching out a shitty driver subroutine is one thing but patching out an entire api that complicated is another. Net framework was the achilles heel of Linux compatibility for a long time and I’m sure one of their low-key goals is to find the next monkey wrench to throw into things.
I would like to think we’re further away from losing most modern technology than the world’s only chip factory getting struck by lightning but the world is a fickle place I guess

If a game is available on gog I get it there. If not, steam. I store and install my games on a secondary ssd because the steam folders are complicated if you care about mods. I copy my gog folder from my home directory for backing up since gog games aren’t as complicated.
Often times that’s because the topic being discussed is something uninteresting enough that I’d rather just smile and nod instead of admit I don’t know what an art deco is. I pretend I know what people are talking about just so they’ll shut up sooner. The sooner the conversation ends the sooner I can stop pretending to be interested in art decos.
