I watched The Outfit on last night, which was a surprisingly good little crime thriller film which felt more like a stage play.

However, one thing stuck with me. The protagonist asked, "A man walks through your door, what about him can you observe? Is he timid, hunched over like a midday clock?"

What's with the midday clock thing? I honestly can't work out what it's supposed to mean?

@actuallyautistic

Scofisticated,
@Scofisticated@socel.net avatar

@Claydisarray I'm thinking maybe how the arms of a clock would look. Maybe how 2:30 would look. If that is still considered midday.

Scofisticated,
@Scofisticated@socel.net avatar

@Claydisarray I was thinking that too. Best guess I can come up with.

Ok, the was freaking adorable. A for-fun ish' were Wondy & Sups go looking for a birthday gift for Batman. About how hard that task is, Diana's troubles, & why malls can still be fun.

Some great expressions here. We dont see Diana & Clark do much, just the two. And this is that story. Taylor excels at heroes just hanging out (see his Date Night story).
@comics

Superman says "Born on another planet, it wasnt until I was a teenager that I discovered I had the power to Sup" Wonder Woman asks "What is 'Sup'?" Clark responds "Nothing much. What's up with you?" Diana repremands "Oh dear Hera, Clark. REALLY?"
Wondy tilts her head with a furowed brow and smashed lips. Showing her dealing, positively, with a hard to handle emotion. Next panel shows her with tears in her eyes saying ""Great. Now I am Crying"
Close up of Batman giving the slightest smirk.

I am digging the run on so far. It is a bit icky to have it narrated by by the Sovreign the whole time. But other than that, so far it's a solid go. Awesome art by (below). Excellent, clean, smooth lines. Chars very presant in the story.

Still on the fence about . There is stuff to like, stuff to not. Kinda like where they are going w/ Jon & Damien & her. But still not sure.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (Tigon Studios/Starbreeze Studios/Atari Interactive) was released 15 years ago today.

The awesome Escape from Butcher Bay (2004) was included.

It was the last Riddick video game.

Scofisticated,

@TheSpaceshipper This was a fun game, and I dont usually play this kinda stuff.It was really well designed. I dont remember it being too difficult. I dont think it added much to the Riddick world. But I still had an enjoyable time.

Happy First Contact Day!

In 39 years, Vulcans will set foot on Earth. More importantly, the Phoenix will be the first human ship to reach Warp 1!

Incidentally, it's also the birthday of the son of Ronald D. Moore, co-writer of Star Trek: First Contact (1996). Happy birthday, Jonathan.

Dune, a family affair.

In the mid-1970s, producer Michel Seydoux tried to adapt Frank Herbert's novel with Alejandro Jodorowsky.

Almost five decades later, Léa Seydoux, his brother's granddaughter, plays Dame Margot Fenring in Dune: Part 2.

I have gushed about before. But it really is important in my life. It gave -me- permission to be weird. And looking back, it was all the oddballs that made it that helped w/ that. The fact that they all got together and made something so odd, showed smaller-me that oddness was out there, and doing things. Paying bills with oddness. Making art with weirdness. That life-while-weird can be done, & to great effect.

It helped me be that part of myself. And I love my life with that in it.

AI is SO dangerous for so many industries.

This monstrosity was shown to me on FB as a suggested page to follow (though why tf would I want to follow 'I love cows')

Loads of bakers are in comments saying they're sick of prospective customers looking at this kind of shit, always unaware it's AI and thinking it can be 100% replicated by human hands - and of course for very little cash!

Seriously, what is wrong with people?? Damn it all to hell! :blobugh:

@Claydisarray I am not a cake maker at all. But thinking about what all would go into making something like this would either shut me down, or demand in contact that it will not be eaten, and treated as a display piece until mold develops.

Tron (3): Ares - First look

Production began in January in Vancouver.

"Tron: Ares follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind's first encounter with A.I. beings."

Scofisticated,
@Scofisticated@socel.net avatar

@TheSpaceshipper Wouldnt Quora be the first encounter by humanity in the physical world? Or wouldnt Kevin Flynn's arrival in the digital world be the first encounter? Is this a different universe?

It would be odd to use the same design philosophy as Legacy (roughly) but use a different world. This synopsis brings up alot of questions. At least for me. But then, duh.
