Yesterday was my official day with the Connections Team of our local #church CenterPointe Christian Church.

Being official basically means that when you see something needing done it's your responsibility to take care of it.
Simple things included, like changing over the empty tissue box.
I enjoyed being part of the team, setting up and serving communion, and welcoming people at the front door.
I truly believe that to fully serve God I have to serve in his church.

This old dog has learned a new trick keyboarding for #MissionAssist.
There are many types of Apostrophe, & even the descriptions are confusing.
In the screenshot we see that the apostrophe on your keyboard is coded as U+0027, but the note says that U+2019 is preferred for apostrophe.
On my #PCLinuxOS #Linux system running #KDE, to type U+2019 I use the Compose key:
<Multi_key> <greater> <apostrophe> : "?" U2019 # RIGHT SINGLE QUOTATION MARK
Mine is set to Right Alt on my US Keyboard.

I truly was emotionally compromised this week after hearing that my workmate of about 25 years, Debbie Amburgey, had passed away. That hit me hard. Still does.

Groggy start to today. Was awoken by a FB Messenger ping by a friend ex-workmate informing me that an older coworker has passed away. It's a reminder to live our lives day by day, but also to think of our eternal future.
Changed over Arianna's ice-bottles and made my #Coffee.
Today is May the 4th, so I am wearing a t-shirt featuring Doctor Who and the Star Trek Enterprise. I am a rebel!
Indian restaurant birthday lunch today with good friends.

Shall be buying Arianna a half pound of English Breakfast Tea.
Visited Pastor Jack Brooks at Central Baptist Hospital. He was looking good, and is having a heart stent cleaning procedure tomorrow.
Met up with his son Alex, wife Lynne, and Ironworks Pike Community Church chairman elder Paul Hill. We prayed together.

My set alarm just woke me.
Time to make a flask of #Coffee and drive to a local church building.
I have an hour slot in the 24 hours of #prayer, at 6:00am.
Arianna wasn't feeling the best yesterday, so our plans depend on how she is doing. Shall check on her when I get home.
Pretty sure I will be working on #laundry at some point today.

God has blessed me with a new day.
Yesterday was tough, but He got us through it.
Arianna spent most of the daytime in the Hospital ER on pain control.
She slept well overnight & is back on her regular pain etc meds.
Thank you all.
I did not work yesterday.. My #FoodBank boss was excellent as I kept her informed.
Much work to catch-up on.
Looking forward to lunch with a friend today. Shall post about that later.
Going to have my first #Coffee of the day at work.

Later morning report today as I have taken Arianna to the University of Kentucky Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Department.
She was in severe pain.
A Doctor has seen her, and a course of treatment has started.
I appreciate your prayers for Arianna.
Obviously I am not working today.
Shall report back in later today.
Unsure when my first #Coffee of the day shall be.

Arianna is recovering from both her knee replacement operation, and a medical procedure last Friday. She will get there! Thanks for your prayers.
